Had seen this place on previously, decided to visit. Was the only person there at 19:30. Menu was certainly different. Decided to go for a varied selection, chicken skewer, fried peppers, fried cheese, spicy meat pasty . Was given olives without asking, but charged for...them, and same goes for the salsa. Not happy with that, though they were nice. So be aware and refuse them. Not cheap, couple of white wines, not cheap either. £33.75More

Great tapas restaurant in Irish Town, Gibraltar. Fantastic selection of food and staff were so helpful with our choices. All the food was amazing, absolutely delicious. The sangria was also excellent. We had beers, sangria, olives, bread and five tapas - our bill was only...£46.70 and worth every penny. Highly recommend.More

Had the mixed grill £31 for two , really disappointed cheap cuts of meat , loads of black pudding few bits of chicken Really unimpressed, shabby outside area facing the wall to eat with supermarket trolleys there . My first thought was let’s go and...I wish I had Payed for salsa sauce that was brought out and never asked for and not a nice potato dishMore

The mixed grill is exceptional. The steak was fabulous and well worth the money. It's tucked away which adds to it's charm, so not necessarily a place to people watch. A place we visit each time we come to Gib.

We shared the mixed BBQ and it was delicious. A mountain of various BBQ'd meats, with a chimichurri sauce and something that tasted very much like a salsa verde. The only downside was the lack of fresh salad because of the bank holiday. More food...than we could eat and 2 beers each (in glasses fresh from the freezer) for £25 a head. Good deal!More

We arrived early and had a lovely meal, after being assisted in our choices by the very helpful waiter. The chicken napolitana was excellent as was the chorizo and the stuffed mushrooms. Highly recommended.

The meat is amazing, service is brilliant. Not a fan of trying to get in the door because it isn't needed. As a tourist this is a meal you will remember when you leave.

A once in a decade food poisoning from lunch yesterday here. Probably the undercooked steak kebab. The tout was annoying and the waiter a little pushy. The chicken dish was ok. Am sure better places nearby

Don’t believe the poor reviews, yes the staff speak limited English but if you have a go in Spanish this is a great little place. Ate here tonight to avoid the touristy marina places and lots of places in the old town were closed. Didn’t...have great expectations as we sat down fairly late on a Sunday evening but we were made to feel welcome and the food was fantastic, we shared the stuffed courgettes and stuffed mushrooms for starters and the mains were amazing. Simple but good, spiced grilled chicken and the bavette(skirt steak) with a chimmichurri (?) sauce was first class, some of the best simple grilled meat we’ve ever tasted, a cut that can be tough if not cooked right but this melted like butter. Great red Rioja by the glass. Deserves to be much higher up the list of restaurants in Gibraltar. Go and enjoy!More

I've been going to this restaurant about once a month for a couple of years and have recommended it to friends even though I believe the bad reviews along with the good. I always eat the same dish or two and recommend it on that...basis. The menu doesn't work. There are no fresh vegetable dishes, pickled peppers aren't good enough. The salads are uninspired. It mentions tapas but is certainly not a very good tapas bar. People like the little sandwiches but there is not the menu to go with them, nor is there the menu to go with steaks. It was a place to make your selection before sitting down especially if u r in a group. Until recently none of the staff spoke more than a few words of English but we muddled through. Service was rough and ready and variable. Last 3 visits have not gone well. The meat was not fresh. Then they undercooked the meat but we sorted it out on a friendly basis. The chef was great. But I noticed the next 2 times they seemed more interested in tourists-real customers. They have someone to encourage customers in, a "barker". A lot of people don't like that, but what was weird on my last visit was that he accompanied me in as if I was a trophy. The owner, from whom I have never heard a word of English, used to say hola but no more. He seemed very disappointed I wasn't a large group of tourists. I had taken a friend and long term resident of Gibraltar because he had asked advice on restaurants for a large family gathering he was planning. The bad service was embarrassing, little things like the olives arriving 10 minutes after the wine. There was no excuse, they weren't busy. When we finished eating the savouries we asked for the dirty plates to be removed so we could finish the wine and consider deserts. The staff did not like this and removed only 2 plates. We decided to quietly leave and asked for the bill. The owner came over to ask if it had been good. I never like that because its too late, but I particularly hate it when they are only seeking praise and turn nasty if its not readily given to them. In this case I could not understand why the owner had been sat around feeling sorry for himself while the staff messed about. We said the food had been ok but not the service. They would not move the dirty plates. It turned nasty because he pretended not to understand. My guest explained in Spanish. He again said he did not understand with a filthy sneer. There are other ways of communicating other than Spanish and English. I did not have to repeat myself. It can't just be someone having a bad day. Given the summer heat and the problems of turnover I will give this place a long break.More
