Tired at the end of the camino, my brother was not in the mood . But we sat at a group table with some US business men and savoured a succession of elegant , clever dishes .. and some great rioja. The duck was exquisite !! Happily recommend. Great atmosphere

My boyfriend and I read a review for Casa Marcelo on TA and decided to give it a try. It was also recommended by a friend from Santiago, so we arrived (as indicated by previous reviews) around 8:30 when they opened. We got seated at the bar right away and since my boyfriend doesn't eat shellfish or pork, we trusted... More

3 course meal and a drink for 9 euros. Perfect ingredients and well prepared dishes. We went without reservation and Marcelo itself set up a table for us. Full of pilgrims, maps, directions and locals.

I think it is maybe the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. The food was fabulous, the service impeccable and the atmosphere extremely entertaining. Sit at the bar and let Marcelo order for you. You will not be disappointed.

Coming from Australia we're used to fusion food. But Galician and Japanese blew us away. More on the Galician side than Japanese the food was outstanding. Small and intimate, the shared tables are positioned all around the open kitchen with a busy team of 10+ chefs. Certainly several notches above the otherwise excellent food in Santiago de Compostella. Haven't done... More

It was almost by accident that we found this fabulous restaurant. It is tucked away down a small side street leading away from the cathedral with no obvious sign outside. It was the building queue before the restaurant opened that took our attention. The head of the restaurant could not have been more helpful, in fact he chose our menu... More

Being from Galicia and with my japanese girlfriend in town, we decided to give a shot to this Galician - Asian fusion place, and none of us was dissapointed. We sit in a communal table beside the kitchen that is open to see. Since the first to the very last dish the tasteness went in crescendo... I would recomend the... More

The first time I went to Casa Marcelo it was a revolutionary experience to me. In so many ways it changed the way I have and enjoy food. The atmosphere is nice, so casual and relaxed. Decorations are cool and you can see the action happening in the kitchen from almost every single corner of the restaurant. The way they... More

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday night just after 10pm and there was already a very long waiting list. I was lucky to be on my own cos they could had just one seat left at the bar where I was able to watch the chefs when they prepared my and others' food. The executive chef asked me if... More
