While the city has many (many) places to eat, finding one open on a Sunday evening is not an easy feat. On our way back to our hotel we happened upon this restaurant. We were attracted by the large number of patrons enjoying drinks, some sitting inside and others sitting outside, many waiting for the restaurant part of open. We... More

Really good food. Really good pork options for a little change from all the seafood on offer in Galicia. Very good service also

We stopped here for a late lunch. It was a relaxing, easy going place with real character, although quite busy. Used mostly by locals. Food was delish, wine list extensive, staff took their time to explain the menu. Lovely to feel a part of Santiago rather than the tourist trap altho just seconds out of the old town.

Really lovely local food at a great price and a good wine selection too. Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Cozy restaurant mainly frequented by locals - great place to wind away a couple of hours during a hail storm!!

Great atmosphere, great wine, great food! A must for any visit to Santiago! Order the boliños and the pan con tomate, jamón and a Galician cheese!

Delicious dinner. Very good service and nice place. Very big dishes, but don't worry, the waiter will give you advice. Very good octopus, jam and meat. One of the best place in Santiago where you can choose the type of watter that you would drink. Of course one of the best Albariño wine range in all Santiago, ask for advice!!

We had the great good fortune to have a local resident suggest that we try this neighborhood restaurant a short wlak from our hotel for dinner. At first we were the only diners upstairs but soon the room filled. Most of the patrons seemed to be local residents. The service and the food were both very good and I was... More

The restaurant was recommended to us, but having visited, it appears it is only used by tourists. The menu is adequate but does not have too many choices, making it a one visit only choice. Snacks can be had before 20.30 (when the restaurant upstairs opens) outside and in the bar area. Pricy for what you get!

La Bodeguilla is one of a 3 restaurants in a Santiago chain. It is an unpretentious, good value, excellent food and service restaurant for people looking to get beyond the pilgrims menu. I recommend getting there around 8 pm for dinner, having drinks to get a god table and then having dinner when they start to serve around 8:30 PM.... More
