We had lunch here today for our first visit. Often disappointed with the quality of the food in Santiago, not today! The steamed mussels were superb as were the pimientos de padron and the oven cooked octopus. Really excellent service too which is so often lacking here in Santiago. We were made so welcome by various members of staff and... More

I really loved my stay in Santiago and I was delighted to dine in San Jaime. My friend was a little sick so she ate a grilled sole that was very fresh and simple as she requested. I ate a portion of prawns and it was very good. I love the cañas of course and the small offers that come... More

we'd read good reviews for this place unfortunately it did not live up to them at all. Poor service and not great food and less atmosphere. We were there about 21.30 admittedly downstairs to check it out and have a few tapas and then decide if we would eat in their restaurant. We left not even finishing our wine or... More

We ordered the yellow rice with lobster dish for 2 which was pricey but sounded gòod. The lobster shell came shatterred into tiny pieces, which made eating the lobster practically impossible.

We had lunch on the ground level twice. Big portions, delicious food and wine, very reasonable price. Great location. Some waiters could not speak English but it was not that important. Could be very busy. Would recommend it.

We were a party of 12 for dinner and we were seated straight away as the restaurant wasn't busy. The waiter was hopeless at taking our orders and because some members of our party didn't have starters, that completely threw him. He couldn't even get the drinks orders right. He got annoyed with us twice and showed his displeasure when... More

Cosy restaurant and friendly service. I tried the "menu de la casa", octopus for starter and clawed lobster rice. Both excellent and highly recommended. The rice could have been hotter though, so it would keep longer but this was just a minor detail. On the negative side, one major fault. Desert had 3 options, one of which was vanilla ice... More

11 ladies arrived at Santiago after finishing the Camino and we found this restaurant for lunch. At first we sat downstairs but then when they realised there were 11 of us they put us upstairs but still let us use the slightly cheaper downstairs menu. It was great food and the waiter was really friendly. We thought it was so... More

I've been there 3 times in my 4 days trip- two times in the first floor which is a bar and the last time in the restaurant in 2nd floor. They have amazing seafood with reasonable price! If you are alone, octopus with clam is the must eat dish! And if you are more than two, seafood platter is highly... More
