We went here to eat tapas during lunch hours. We ordered almejas, navajas, vierias which are scallops and bacalao. It was all good except some of the navajas which did not seem fresh. If you order bacalao or vierias, only one portion comes, so if you are with a group, you have to order as many vieras as people in... More

Nicely presented and tasty tapas, that you can eat at the counter (do it if you can, you get the nice view of their display!) or at the table. The food is nice and filling; I spent 15 euros for 4 tapas and 2 glasses of tinto de verano. Seafood tapas are better than the standard ones in my opinion,... More

Our first day after flying in from the US, we went in the afternoon for good wine and tapas to cure our jet lag. This is the right place. Good staff and service. A bottle of Algueira vino tinto was perfect. Suggest you try the specials as we did - bacalao mostaza and solomillo. The pulpo vinagreta in the jar... More

Highly recommend the food here (and try the Sangria!) Especially recommend the bacon, dates, and cheese small bite (deep fried bacon wrapped dates), the skewer of shrimp and squid (brocheta de langostinos y calamares), and the Pedron Peppers if you are there in the summer. Really anything. The food coming out all looked good. Make sure to arrive while noon... More

Everything about this place is great, but the food is divine. There's a bar in front of the the display cases if you prefer that, and there's a lovely seating area in the back if you prefer that. I ate at both but preferred the energy at the cases. The staff really hustle and were friendly despite the crush that... More

A great selection of Tapas, which is important to us as I do not eat red meat. Seafood, and veg tapas here were delicious. Good value for money. Good service, friendly staff

I have been to Santiago four times now and each time I make a bee-line for the Taverna do Bispo in Rua de la Franca for the wonderful selection of tapas available. The selection is constantly changing, but the tapas are always creative. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Highly recommended.

Located on the main restaurant street. We went there as one of us remembered it from a previous visit. We asked them to give us a selection of dishes. They gave us a good choice across the price range. With drinks the bill was c€25 each for more than we could eat. Not the cheapest place but a fine location... More

Great, amazing little spot in the city center. Service is excellent. The waiters always smiling and recommending the dishes of the day and finally they didn't rush and had all the patience to wait and see our choices. I tried the bacalao with honey sauce which was spectacular, and also the crujiente de queso with mermelade, really amazing. Prices are... More
