What a great little place this is. I had ticked this place off along woith 2-3 others prior to cruising to La Coruna. We decided to do a walk around concentrating on the older parts of the city when we stumbled across la Leonesa. I do love my jamon and we arranged to come back for a late lunch. The... More

Thanks to heavy fog, our cruise ship diverted to La Coruna from Ferrol, our tour cancelled and so we ended with a tour of the city. Our good fortune as it happened; the guide recommended this gem as we walked past early. Better still, we were able to find it again a few hours later (not easy in the myriad... More

Stumbled across this gem of a restaurant whilst walking around the lovely la Coruna. Absolutely fabulous with so many Iberico hams hanging from the ceiling in a rustic setting. Lots of locals enjoying the evening dining atmosphere. We had the 'special' plate of different smoked hams and sausages, accompanied by a sumptuous plate of cheeses and local bread. The wine... Coruna is not short of attractive dining options but this place caught our eye on our morning walk and we decided to return at lunch. It is a no frills rather masculine setting, dark wood tables on a tiled floor, and the decor consists almost entirely of hundreds of hams hanging from the ceiling, most with a cardboard cone to... If I lived here it would be the type of place I would visit on a regular basis. I had a half portion of ham and it was the nicest, sweetest ham I have ever tasted. We were surrounded by locals relaxing, enjoying wine. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend you visit. You won't be disappointed!

Great food ( Cecina, jamón, chorizo and cheese from Leon which is close to Galicia ). You can also have a very good wine from the same area. Nice people working there. cheap prices .

Everything about this place is perfect. Just stumbled over it. The Jamon Iberico is delicious, the semi currado cheese is delicious, the bread is delicious, the wine is perfect and the hospitality is genuine. You'll be lucky to stumble over this.

After paying homage to Sir John Moore in the nearby garden I was in need of some refreshment.I came upon the Jamoneria by chance. it exudes class. I entered; it was busy, I was greeted by a charming and dignified young man at the counter as my eyes took in the mouthwatering delights at the counter. he suggested he prepare... More

Everytime we come to Coruña we order Jamon and other embutidos from La Leonesa. They make special packaging to go and we take it back home!

We came to have a nice selection of bellota's products (jam, chorizo, salchichon and lomo) together with wine and local cheese. I have to say it was a very nice experience and we enjoy the taste and the quality of the products. Something to consider is that near by there is not parking and could be a nightmare to find...
