This cafe was quite the find! After an exciting but exhausting visit to the Girona cathedral, we were looking for a quick lunch and something to drink. 'AroundMe' app threw up this place as one of 3 closest spots to eat and we headed here, and took up a table outside on a little ledge. It's a pretty cottage-like place,... More

Yes, it's true: 4 platters and 5 hairs. And the fish was dried out. The macarons were partly burnt. The ice in my glass had dirt or ash on it. The staff were concerned about the hairs but repeated this never happened before. Then on the table next to ours, the woman had hair in her fish. Still the staff... More

Small tapas restaurant hidden away at top of the jewish quarter near the cathedral. Interesting décor based on a sewing theme. Plenty of tapas to choose from, other food as alternative to tapas. Waiter was helpful advising us how many tapas to share between 4 of us and he got it just right. Well worth seeking out.

We were in the old town of Girona and found this little gem of a bar. It's hidden away but only 150m or so from the main thoroughfare. We only had a couple of beers but the service was spot-on and the prices very reasonable. The inside decor is very original and the owner seemed very proud when he showed... More

We were passing by this location and the trip advisor ratings were mostly good so we gave it a try for the fixed menu lunch. I ordered a first course of stuffed mushrooms and a second course of cod with vegetables. My wife ordered gazpacho followed by eggplant stuffed with meat. The mushrooms were watery and tasteless, the cod was... More

It had been a while since I´d eaten at El Didal, so we decided to pay this cosy little delight a visit last night. It was, quite simply, spectacular. Hidden away in the jewish quarter of the old town, It´s a little further out from the centre, which is why i suppose it isn´t as well known as it should... More

We just loved this restaurant. It was so different. The sewing theme was so different. The tapas was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced . The location of the restaurant was also beautiful. We were so pleased we stumbled upon it.

Went here on the night before we went to Le Cellier de Roca. It became our local favourite. The food was excellent; the service was flexible and personal. In addition, they were willing to go the extra mile to satisfy our needs. Even after closing on a holiday, they let us have a couple of pints in the shadow. For... More

Ate at El Didal the other day because I saw it once, walking by, and it looked cute and attractive. Turns out it looks great from outside, but the inside is something different. I won't mention in depth the decoration as I don't really care but it wasn't to my taste (sewing machines, irons, and iron boards all over the... More
