We are a restaurant, with many dishes for coeliacs, cafeteria and pub, all in one, located in the Barri Vell of Girona, just below the beautiful church of Sant Feliu! We offer you a warm family atmosphere, inspired by Bruce Springsteen and the culture of Native Americans, amazing and unique. We have different environments: tables, bar and the famous Chester sofas, and a fantastic terrace, to enjoy the River at any time of the day. Pets are also welcome

Got to say, having been disappointed with service in so many Spanish establishments this was much better. Service was prompt and efficient. The location is central and sitting having a couple of glasses of wine after a long walk suited us fine. However
I suspect the staff will be getting fed up with bossman jakes continual "promptings"

Delicious lunch in the sunshine. There was only one salad, but it was incredible with a wonderful mango vinaigrette, which we kept talking about.
The Mexican bomb was also delicious and only 7 euro.
Relaxing, friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting beside an artisanal area and brocante market on a Saturday.
The burgers going to other tables look amazing. We are coming back tonight.

Food sounded delicious, but the taste and quality was TERRIBLE! Chicken was dry, the mix plate of meat was nasty, the taste was terrible and meat was chewy. Staff was not pleasant, no good service. Such a shame because the scenery of this restaurant is beautiful. 0/5 do not recommend.

Once this place was purely a nice experience. Solid performing staff with no-nonsense customer service. I do not know what happened, but now, after two visits, there has not been any visible customer service. Just rude waitresses and low performing food. Please, change it. You were fun to hang out with. Girona is so nice place with top notch restaurants, you will just loose the customers you once had.

Really good fixed price 3 course lunch. Staff were very pleasant and even though it was a busy day due to Temps de Flors being on they never rushed us to get more people in. Very nice

I went this Sunday with the family, we were 8 people, we asked to put together 2 tables, there being 4 free. Tell us NO.
We went to another restaurant, where we were received without problems.
When I passed by the rivers again, I asked for the complaint form and they replied that since I had not consumed anything and the company's policy was not to put tables together, they would not give it to me.
I see very little empathy and little desire to work.
I will not return to such a place.

Amazing food, great location. Place is tidy and stylish. Food delivered quickly and served in the right temperature . Good menu selection, downside - no kids menu. Drinks menu has a lot to offer. Definitely recommend

We are from Girona and often go to the River since they have changed ownership. We've never been so badly served. Enough not to come back. How superb and bad to do... We will wait until that waitress is gone (the one with the South American accent).

This was our go to spot for a beer during our stay in Girona. Beautiful people watching and views of the basilica. Make sure to order the local Moska beer. Great service!

Our hotel was steps from The River Cafe and we ignored it for three full days. BUT it’s open through the 4 to 8 dark eating period and Spain, SO we stepped out on a Sunday night.
Good indication was the place was full of locals.
Service was rough but basic busy efficient that warmed up to very friendly.
Q-Trip: Gluten Free friendly too.
Q-Trip: The Comanches slider were excellent.

Q-Trip: If taboo art is your thing, this is the place.
Wow, a painted canvas on the servers.

Came in for a drink while waiting for el Carrito to open and we had a round of drinks and a wonderful chat with the mngr who loves B. Springsteen as well as Alex the server from the Dominican.
Place was filling up so I would imagine it does a good job with the food also
