Happened to find this place as our hotel was nearby. This restaurant was over loaded with customers at 11pm on Friday night, it shows a clear sign how popular it is among locals. Staff didn't speak almost a word of English, one very friendly customer helped us like a half host and told that we can order "quarter" portion in... More

We tried a few of the dishes and they were all great. The potato pie thing was a 10. The pickled seafood combo dish was super fresh and really tasty. Salad was great too. Excellent coffee and desserts. The place looks small, but there are tables inside.

Everybody orders the octopus (very large portions - so order half only) but there is more fresh seafood. Highly recommend the navajas (i.e., razor clams) a la plancha.....All seafood is good here ...unless you are allergic to seafood. The wine is inexpensive but good. Sit outside...bring friends to help you eat.

i've been here several times in the past two years and always order: -bottle of white wine -seafood platter -grilled octopus over bed of potatoes (i believe this is their signature dish.. it's on every table :-D) -homemade galician cake -orujo crema after the meal service can be a little slow or forgetful on the terrace but it's casual and... This is a busy local restaurant which has great sharing dishes, you cannot go wrong with the fresh seafood or meat specials, large portions are reasonably priced for sharing, the seafood platter could feed four people. Staff work hard to cope with the amount of diners, we preferred inside as staff were friendlier.

This is not a restaurant but it is like a "Italian taverna". It seems impossible eating but if You ask to the owner everything it is possible!!!!The food is good but not exceptional. The classical Spanish food are tasty , the serving are generous and the climate very suggestive.A good variety of fish dishes at reasonably price!

If you don't have the octopus your a sucker, prawns are off the scale, even the house wine and Orujo de hierbe is the best in Barca, try it if you want a real good experience .

We were recommended to this seafood restaurant by a local. In her opinion, this is one of the best seafood restaurants in the city. The cooking is rustic but executed perfectly. My husband and I shared their famous signature octopus dish and we were stuffed. Yet, we managed to finished another plate of freshly grilled razor shells. The garlic, olive... More

Tasty if rustic food in enormous servings, if you haven't got a large appetite you might want to share. Bread with tomato puree, mixed salad and patatas bravas as entrees, grilled pork and chicken as mains, washed down with a very decent house red and all for €43. The waitress had very little English so a bit of guessing involved.... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
