Being a vegan couple we were excited to go to this restaurant, however upon arrival it went downhill. We didnt have a booking, and were told in a rude and off-ish manner that we would have to wait a long time or sit on the tall barstools situated at the front. We didnt want to wait ages so we opted... More

The dishes was very unique and tasty and the service was great! Really enjoyed the expirience. One of us is vegatarian but the other two aren't and everyone found the food very good! Will visit there next time for sure.

Took my mom here to celebrate her birthday. Since we were in Spain and she's a vegetarian I searched for best vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona and this restaurant came up. The reviews did not disappoint!! We ordered the tapas tasing menu and had no idea what each tasting would bring. "Chefs Choice" they called it. The mystery of what would... More

What an amazing restaurant. There is a wine menu, and a gin and tonic menu. Either go for the tasting menu which is 7 courses and wine for €25 each or just pick from the extensive menu. Went for the latter and after many delicious dishes followed by dessert we wandered back to the hotel very happy indeed. Small place... More

Great food, we ordered the tasting menu and we were amazed with what we got. Superb flavors! Especially the provolone with tomatoes. Very serviceminded staff and friendly chef. The tasting menu consists of 7 different meals and 2 drinks and costs 25 euro, well spent money! Go there! Highly recommended!

We read about this place in the Lonely Planet guide, and set out to find it. It is located in a back alley, so you might search a bit for it, but the search was not for nothing. This place is amazing. Even though we did not have a reservation, it only took about 15 minutes before we was seated... More

Although we didn't reserve, we were told we'd have a table shortly. We waited for a long while and waiter came over to take our order. Hoping that we'd get a table before the food arrived, we actually did not and had to have our meal off bar stools on a high table. It was very uncomfortable and the waiter... More

We visited Sesamo while traveling in Barcelona since we wanted to try something different! The atmosphere was simple but cozy and we were sat right away on a Sunday night. The service was great, we had both servers check on us several times. We had the peppers, the gnocchi, the cauliflower with cilantro pesto and tahini sauce and a mushroom... More

After sampling several vegetarian delights on offer in Barcelona, we tried out the 7 course taster menu. We were shown to a medioka at best table (always book here, it's busy) which was annoying, but the generally friendly service made up for it. The food that followed was a real treat - daring combinations and an adventurous selection of tapas... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
