You'll have to get here early (be ready to stand in line anywhere between 15-30 minutes before opening time) but once inside, you're in for a treat. Delicious food, coupled with a typical Basque mood make this the best tapa joint in Barcelona. If the owner is around, she'll say hi and recommend what's good that night. Might have to... More

This restaurant is a wonderful place to visit. It is a combination of a bar and a restaurant. You can both be seated at a table but also be standing up eating or sitting at the bar. Tapas is served, you point out what you would like to have and when you are done, you pay according to number of... More

Delicious tapas and well worth hunting down. We got there at opening lunch time, 1pm, so it was quiet and we were able to take a seat in prime position at the bar. Tapas were 1.50 euro each and absolutely delicious. Make sure you leave room for the hot tapas that come out and are quickly snapped up.

You feel so good to go in and find that the pinchos are always SOOOOOO good! we are coming here since almost 7 years!! The owner, Carmen and her daughter, Maria, are always keeping an eye to make things work so well! We miss Juli, but all the staff is nice and friendly. Try the chacoli!! And don't miss any... More

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a local waiter. From the minute we walked in we were treated poorly and ignored by everyone. We waited for a seat at the bar but the locals gave up seats to one another. Highly disrespectful way to share your city and culture.

We were told my a local to go to Taktika Berri for dinner. We arrived and immediately were given nasty glares by the locals in the restaurant. Nobody from the staff came to help us. We were standing there waiting for a place at the bar to open up, and some locals came in and were seated immediately while my... More

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
