Very expensive fondue and it was nothing like cheese in it, tasted like flower?! And watery. Asked waiter for some more cheese in the Fondue but he laughed and walked away. Bechamel sause, some slices of fruits. 20 some Euros. Great deal! But not for the costumer. Dirty and dark. Waiter had black dirty nails:-/

The decor is excellent, and has kind of a dark atmosphere, but unfortunately the food isn't a match. The menu is quite deceiving in its descriptions, and the actual quality and preparation of the food is quite low. For what I paid ( over 120€), I feel ripped off. Plenty of great restaurants in the area that are cheaper and... More

Imagine this restaurant. It has a low-ceiling, dim lights, an eclectic array of art, candles, real fabric serviettes and, finally, a rotund and jolly waiter who makes you feel welcome. This place wasn't crowded. In fact, during our meal we were the only patrons. However, we did eat early considering the fact that the Catalonians eat late.. after 9, and... More

A very eclectic restaurant but it failed to impress everyone in our family. The fish fondue was enjoyed but the chicken rice dish was not very good (pretty bland and plain). Be prepared to cook your own meal either hot oil fondue or grilling plate. There was some concern that we had one plate with raw meat beside our vegetables/potatoes.... More

The decor was cozy, old-fashioned look. The pictures on the walls were very special. Nice waiter. Their specialty was fondue, which was not particularly tasteful. It was more the experience that makes the visit worth the money. Not a cheap restaurant, but ok price Highly recommend a visit. Close to Snt.Maria del Mar church.

Been here multiple times, always taking my friends, family and business partners when they visit me here in Barcelona, who always loved the place. Their fondue is their signature dish, they even serve one with cava infused broth, which is served as a proper soup after finishing the meat.

My wife and I stumbled across La Carassa in a backstreet while looking for some authentic Spanish dining. We were initially attracted by the "Romantic" menu for 23 euro, however the inside of the restaurant clinched it - it was like we had walked into someone's front room, with the (I assume) husband and wife sitting at one of the... We stumbled upon this early one evening in our search for tapas. It is a very back ally type of place that has not been updated since the doors have opened, but I think this is what adds to its strange charm for me. It was quiet and the owners were very helpful with our gluten free needs. They recommended... More

During a family holiday, we stumbled across this place, and it looked interesting and quirky. Everybody liked the idea of fondue, so we decided to give it a go. The inside of the restaurant is like an interesting little cave, with strange Dali-esque paintings on the walls - it was really cool, and we all liked the ambience (although it... More

Me and my girlfriend were out looking for a meal not having decided on what to eat and stumbled upon this charming small restaurant. Very friendly staff and we immediately felt welcome. We ordered fondue, which was a new experience for the both of us. Very good meat which we cooked ourselves in boiling oil. The dessert was also very... More
