This is the second time we have eaten here. We like it for the ambience - a bit like a gentlemans club, deep polished wood and old fashioned lighting. For starters we asked for one portion of bread and one anchovy, and that's what we got, one anchovy! The main courses of cod and hake made up for it though,... More

The good: well positioned, great atmosphere and apparently great live music in the evening. The bad: the tapas I ordered was not good. Overly salty and otherwise tasteless. A dish derived from Majorca. The seafood stew was also over salted and lacked any delicacy.

We were wandering by and looking for a place for dinner. We did not have a reservation, but I recommend one. While obviously not the same, the feel of the place, with the piano playing in the background, was to us much like the Cafe Central in Vienna. The food and service were both excellent. This was one of the... More

Had a meal for 4 friends. 2 of us had set menu and 2 had a la carte. Starter was burnt even though it was cold and even when we raised it as an issue they didn't say anything. Paella was sub standard and salty. Hake was good as was veal and hamburger. Coffee on set menu never arrived. The... More

Very classic looking restaurant. Service was OK but very slow. Food was a mixed bag. My wife liked her salamon a lot, but my duck confit was really dry and the came with really under whelming sides. We wouldn't go back. Too many other better choices in the area. Maybe we didn't order what they are good at???

Lovely old fashioned decor, brilliant service that was just the correct amount of attentiveness, a very reasonable set menu over three courses of good food. We went on a live piano night. Would definitely recommend it.

Had a wonderful meal here recently. We stumbled across this quaint restaurant down a quiet side street but it really appealed to us as we walked past and we weren't disappointed. There was a lot of choice on the main menu but decided to have a set menu from which you had a choice of starters, however to our surprise... More

Son had gone to the restaurant with friends at a conference and suggested we went. We all had the piano menu which was excellent value and the seafood paella was well received. Two bottles of wine between four of us meant we couldn't finish it. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Great street appeal as we walked passed. It was a Saturday night and being a tourist we walked in without a reservation. Slap my wrist, but the young hostess took it in her stride and had a look and said some tables were minutes away fom finishing. We sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine to wait.... More

The fish was was very good and the ambiance and service were first rate. It is a little pricey but we needed a restful break so we chose this restaurant.
