Arrived around 8 pm on a Friday. Lively atmosphere - the place was crammed, standing room only. The servers regularly shushed the crowd in vain attempts to keep the noise level down. After a few minutes I was able to squeeze into and defend a...More

A great little champagne bar, very traditional, good prices and lovely atmosphere! Hidden away, but definitely worth finding for a snack and a drink :-)

Whenever I'm in the city, this is my first stop! They serve the most incredible (and cheap) Cava with amazing sandwiches - all amongst the locals. This is a great spot to hang with friends, drink some cava and enjoy Spainish culture. A must!!

The 3 circles represent a compromise. There's a lot to like about this hole-in-the-wall, but An honest review will consider real potential problems. Prices are low for wine and food. The wine is ok and the food is better than good. Just keep ordering and...More

Very crowded place with a Spanish style sandwiches (bocadillos ) and a delicious local pink champagne. Also very cheap. A typical site in Barcelona.

I know this place has gained notoriety due to TripAdvisor reviews, but despite that, nothing has changed - and that's awesome. I've been here a few times and each time I come away thinking this is my favourite bar/snack bar in the world. Highly recommend...More

It is messy! No tables in a very small place hidden in Barceloneta. But, it is a MUST VISIT. Delicious cavas y vinos espumantes, very tasty tapas. Fair price! Very fun! When in Barcelona, go there!

This place is amazing, really authentic and reasonably priced. The home made cava is amazing, we had the Rosat can paixano (1.30€) and it's the best we've ever had. We also had a plate of mixed sausages (4€) which tasted great. The menu is in...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
