This place will make your trip. Get two sandwiches and a bottle of rosé cava. Depending on the sandwich total will be around 15 euro cash only. You will be shoulder to shoulder with every one and. Not any room to move, but that is...the experience. If you do t want a crowd go around noon or 1 and y I will be fine.More

Guys, look at amount of reviews on TA. Do you think there are locals there? May be there were, not any more. If this is "the best food" you had, I'm really sorry, but there are so many more places with real food, which is really tasty.

This was one of the best places for food we visited in Barcelona. It was difficult to find but so worth it. We stood out like sore thumbs as tourists because it seemed to be full of locals. Knowing a bit of Spanish is helpful...as the whole menu is Spanish on a big board. We ate cheese burgers, croquettes and had two glasses of cava each. The food was crazy delicious and I don’t think the meal came to more than 15 euros. We will definitely be back the next time we come to Barcelona.More

This place is like from a movie for a non-Spaniard. Very loud, crowded and serves tasty food accompanied by amazing cava. Definitely do pop in. No card payments though.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Spain and Italy and we landed in Barcelona and stay a couple nights before leaving for Italy. We heard about Can Paxiano and it blew my expectations out of the water. It’s a great local feel...with a fast paced cramped dining experience. On the way back home to the states we stopped back in Barcelona just to stop by Can Paxiano one more time. We stocked up with Rosat and ate some more food food and still have a bottle waiting. This is a must stop in the city!More

Good place to grab a quick bite to eat, very small and no place to sit. The food is relatively cheap and very tasty. No English words on the menu and the guys behind the bar also speak very little English. However we just pointed...and had what others were having and it all tasted good. Would recommendMore

I was taken to this little hidden away gem on a "Fooding all over Barcelona" tour. Probably best if you know a little Catalan or Spanish or research the menu in advance to know what you may want to order. No sitting down here, you...stand, eat and drink and talk with your friends. (I'm told it gets a bit rowdy in the evening.) There's a retail store in the back for food and wine purchases. We arrived mid-morning and sampled the "plat variat" which was a sampling of four local style sausages and a glass of real cava. When they served up the plate, I thought it was too much for two of us (the guide and myself) to eat, but it disappeared quickly and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.More

One of the places we wanted to check out, this bar/eatery is close to the Marina and within walking distance from the Gothic Quarters. You are greeted with a yellow menu board with different selections so we went for the meat plate (with a variety...of different sausages), a Ham and Cheese Sandwich (Serrano, Queso, Cebolla y Pimientos) and Croquettes. All really good! We didn't have any wine and the total cost was a little over 12 Euros. Well worth the cost and the trip. Standing room only, just need to wait for a space.More
