The most delicious lunchtime sandwiches and the best cava we've ever tasted – and all for incredible prices! Only wish our trip had been longer so we could have gone back. Definitely a must-do in Barcelona :)

If you come to barcelona you definatelly need to visit this place! Great atmosphere and nice service. Whatever we tried was delicious and it is a unique experience since it combines both street food and good tastes. Many different kinds of cheese and sausage to...choose and the stuff helps you to order even if they are very busy! It is also a very cheap choice!More
Every visit to Barcelona has our personal must-do: having a bottle of cava and tapas at Can Paixano. Usually a very crowded bar (without any seats) where you can walk in freely, has now “un hombre” standing at the entrance and leading you and your...companions to a place at the bar where you are supposed to stay put. Probably a covid-related thing. Although prices have definitely risen quite a bit, one can still enjoy a good cava here. The shop at the back has disappeared to make more room for drinking customers. Don’t ask for a beer or coke: Cava is the only available drink.More
Recommended to us by a friend- easy to find - very popular so there was a bit of a queue but so worth the wait! Asked for chef recommendations and very happy to stand given the buzz in the place - delicious dry cava.
Rather cheap and tasty food , very atmospheric place There was a queue to enter the bar but it was fast Hamburgers are very tasty 😋
Whilst on a short trip to Barcelona we were tipped off about this place by a friend. Seeing some of the recent mixed reviews we were a little bit hesitant, but we really liked it and actually ended up going twice. It’s important to understand...what this is and what it isn’t. There aren’t any seats, you get allocated a little section of standing space and order your food and drink over the counter. And depending on your space, the shelf where you can put your food can be at varying heights some of which are more practical than others! But it all adds to the charm, and certainly wasn’t putting people off - it was thriving with people queuing to get in. Food wise there’s a choice of various small tapas plates, speciality ‘sandwiches’, and sausages. We had some tapas dishes on the first trip, and tried a sandwich on the second - all good! And to drink you have a choice of their different house Cava’s, either by the glass or by the bottle. The value is great, eating plentifully for two with a bottle of Cava was 25 to 30 Euros each time. High end dining this is not, but for a vibrant venue to eat and drink well on a budget it’s great.More
Probably one of the best sandwich shops in Barcelona. Had their bacon and pork loin sandwiches and both were tremendously delicious and unique. It’s super easy on the packet too. A glass of cava is highly recommended to go with any sandwich.
Horrible. Terrible service, the guy was super rude.. The only "good" thing is the Rose cava. The food is awful, we really dont know how this place can have so many positive reviews. You dont have a place to sit, the food is just a...low quality sandwich, the croquetas didnt tasted anything in particular (like jamon, chicken or something else) and again, the service is awful (except for the guy who were taking care of the queue). We do not recommend this place.. Dont waste your time.More
I wonder how this got so many positive reviews. 1) No place to sit, you have to stay on your feet. 2) they only have sandwiches (lousy ones BTW) and some crappy chorizas and croquetas. 3) the man behind the balcony who picked our order...was rude and incompetent. The only positive thing here is that its cheap (but so is every sandwich house) and it has good cava (but probably every restaurant has it too). I'd rather go to mcd or bk than returning here...More
This place will make your trip. Get two sandwiches and a bottle of rosé cava. Depending on the sandwich total will be around 15 euro cash only. You will be shoulder to shoulder with every one and. Not any room to move, but that is...the experience. If you do t want a crowd go around noon or 1 and y I will be fine.More
Went to Barcelona for a long weekend and stopped off at this place 5 TIMES as it was so incredible. Great rustic food and the most delicious cava. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible!!!!!
Guys, look at amount of reviews on TA. Do you think there are locals there? May be there were, not any more. If this is "the best food" you had, I'm really sorry, but there are so many more places with real food, which is really tasty.
This was one of the best places for food we visited in Barcelona. It was difficult to find but so worth it. We stood out like sore thumbs as tourists because it seemed to be full of locals. Knowing a bit of Spanish is helpful...as the whole menu is Spanish on a big board. We ate cheese burgers, croquettes and had two glasses of cava each. The food was crazy delicious and I don’t think the meal came to more than 15 euros. We will definitely be back the next time we come to Barcelona.More
This place is like from a movie for a non-Spaniard. Very loud, crowded and serves tasty food accompanied by amazing cava. Definitely do pop in. No card payments though.
Must visit excellent little place. It was so crowded we ended standing by the door sipping our cavas ( Also excellent!)
