I had read great reviews of this seafood restaurant so we had to get here. Its in the area by the beach where lots of other restaurants are but this was delicious. We did not have reservations and were lucky to get in. However, we went just as they were opening so I think that worked in our favor. Recommend... More

And it kinda sums a typical can Mano meal. The little, rustic, un-dressed, chaotic eatery it's in a hidden streets in the middle of old Barceloneta, though it will be easy to spot it as there is a religious crowd at the door no matter the time you go. When we arrived, check-in at the bar, with the cocky, not-rude,... More

Always packed, had to wait maybe 30 min; enough time for a beer in between and then we enjoyed the fantastic food for perfect price...

Long waiting time. Many locals dine here too. They offer simple seafood dishes with many fried dishes. Overall good food at good prices.

We arrived early and there were no tables available so we had to wait for about 30 min outside. The place looks very authentic as it is like this since forever. Most of the people eating were locals what means its not yet a 'tourist trap'. We've ordered sardines, fried mackerel and some fried calamari. All dishes were perfectly prepared.... More

Wanted to visit the place by all these recommendations. Its good its simple and it doesnt cost that much like if you have these deep fried food somewhere else. Went there especially for tasting "gampas"( shrimps), but after our order, waiter came to us some 5 min after to say no gampas today. Good food, worth for visit.

It's very cozy, small family restaurant. However the food is simple fantastic. It's a must to eat there. I had grilled squid with french fries. They give the bottle of wine and you only pay for what you drink.

Cute little place with excellent sea food, fried or grilled plus wine or cava. Be prepared to wait for a table. Simple pleasures :)

I've been in this restaurant for lunch, at 12,30 because later we would have done the queue. A friend from Apulia who lives in Barcelona, highly recommended us this place. It has a very spartan atmosphere but the food was great ( and the price, too!) we ate sardinas, tuna omelette, cuttlefishes, and catalana cream. Everything was excellent, the quality... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
