We stopped for a Sangria and a couple of small plates and had a great time. Lots of foot traffic and interesting people. They have a spicy potato tapa which is great

We passed this restaurant earlier in the day and thought it looked good - we stopped in a learned they didn't take reservations. We came back at 8:00 and it was very full but they seated is right away. We ordered various tapas and they were all delicious. Had a great waiter from Chile. The fried artichokes and Spanish tomatoes... More

We loved Bar Lobo for lunch and Tapas. It was so good that we ate there twice. The wild rice with veggies was my favorite and wish I could get the recipe for the sauce. We were on a tour of Spain and the Tapas here were our favorite.

Nice location and food was decent enough but for the price I expected more. Food came out so quickly it must have been pre prepared. My order was taken wrong but the food that was served looked decent so I ate it. The meal was decent but wasn't worth the price. Getting the waiters to serve you is a real... More

We had lunch outside. Service and good were good. We did tapas but they have lots of stuff. It's pretty busy but worth it.

Modern and funky urban bar on a side street of las ramblas. Good tapas, can sit inside or outside. We were there for lunch and enjoyed a variety of tapas. Ham croquettes were excellent, but i have yet to meet a ham croquette i did not love.

We were staying at Hotel 1898 and Bar Lobo was just underneath our window on the backside of the hotel. We went there a couple of nights for a glass of wine before going to dinner somewhere else but on our last night in Barcelona we decided to have tapas there for dinner since we had enjoyed a big lunch.... Bar Lobo is one of my favourite places in Barcelona. The tapas and other foods are of great quality and not expensive. Only minor point each time we visit, is that the restaurant is always full of people (yes it's that popular), and as a consequence, the staff is overworked and not that friendly/helpfull from time to time. But the... More

Nice selection of tapas but they also serve delicious hamburgers. Went twice and sat inside once and outside once. Both were great, but if you can get a table outside it is in a nice little square away from noise of the Ramblas and a variety of decent entertainers came by on Saturday night in waves, so it was extra... This is my second visit to Bar Lobo. I can't really testify as to the quality of the food because I only popped in for a couple of beers and to use the free wifi (very robust for Spanish bar standards). Sitting at the bar, I'm directly opposite the food preparation area and it looks spotless. The dishes that go... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
