The place is okay, the food is not bad, overpriced compared to the quality and the quantity , the order is by piece, no menu, even the board only lists the appetizers that is not understood for non locals, the waitress lists the options of...raw food but ull never know how much ull end up paying for what you are ordering, She noticed that i dont want raw food, she suggested Chicken with potato dish, the taste was okay, but we were charged 50 euros for this platter which is full of chicken bone leg. i don't like surprises like this. we paid 100 euros for 2, we ate empanadas on our way back:)More

Disappointing experience. The place is very cool in terms you of design and staff is very attentive and nice. However, I was shocked by the prices and the food - despite being fresh and good quality - it was very average in terms of taste...and portion size. The catch of the day was between 80€-250€/Kg. Both the red and white we had were very not good at all. Very disappointed overall. We ended up going to the bar in front - entrepanes Diaz - where we had some nice croquettes, wine and deserts.More

The staff was super helpful and attentive. The food was really something else. The only minus is that we were asked to leave almost as soon as we finished dessert, despite being clearly relaxed and enjoying ourselves. I would still return for the food alone.

Very nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and there is no menu. All the menu is listed on the billboard and the employee will explain it in English. Food is quite nice and fresh.

Sooooo good!!! Just an overall excellent dining experience. From the food options and tastes to the quaint atmosphere and the outstanding service from Maia! She presented all the menu options in English (but with a Spanish vibe:)....both couples loved her so much we let her...make all the choices for us including the beverages .......all were HER recommendations/choices, and all were incredible. This place alone would be reason enough to return to Barcelona! Recommended by a Foodie friend, and so happy we chose to try it out!! It IS a hidden gem:)More

Booked for a special occasion but was placed outside which meant we were forgotten about in terms of service. Also noisy next to cars and smokers. Food was good but smaller portions than most tapas.

Food and ambience were lovely. However, when we came to pay they added an extra 45€ for a fish they recommended for the paella. This was not made clear when we ordered. Wouldn’t go back and please be aware if you visit!. I would also...note that it seemed full of tourists. Maybe locals are more savvy!More

We were rather disappointed. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. We ordered some tapas and the Catalan paella (Arros de Llotja) with two shrimp and 1/2 fish. The paella cost a whopping 70 € and this was not mentioned before ordering!...The rice in the paella was good, but the fish was very bland and desperately needed salt. The shrimp did not taste good and they were served with intestines and all in place. Simply not worth the money. We were seated on the bar which was quite a small table space for the paella dish. The waitress was helpuf and nice but clearly in a hurry. One of the tapas we ordered was never served to us, but it was included in the check. We cannot recommend this place based on our experience.More

I am not at all happy with the restaurant, do not see why all the hype. Yes, it was busy, yes, seems to be popular and has good reviews, but simply did not work for our party (of 6). What they lack is transparency. Yes...the meny is there hanging, but there are so many extras that they encourage you to take, but they come at quite a price. Also we had the menu explained to us, but that was just so much information to process, not being familiar with the cuisine. The quality of the food did not merit the price, we took a steak to share but there was quite some fat on it. For that price I expected prime beef, with succulent meat. Then, you order a paella, and then we were encouraged to order a fish on top of it, quite unusual. In any case I can go on forever, but let me stop here. Bottom line - expensive, not transparent, expensive and not very cheap for the quality. Really disappointing experience on our last evening in Barcelona. Avoid it and just take few steps more to Estel de Gracia restaurant, if you are after more down to earth establishment and experience.More

We came for an early dinner and tried a number of tapas on & off menu. The waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. All the food was pretty bland and then we received the Cod Cheeks dish. We ate a few pieces...and noticed that a few were extremely undercooked. We notified the waitress who returned the dish to the kitchen. A waiter came back a few minutes later with almost a full portion of Cod Cheeks and told us with zero emotion that the way we received our original dish was the way the kitchen cooks it over low heat & that they cooked this new portion to the way we like it even though it is not the way they do it. I tried to lighten the mood and said thank you but the waiter just stared at me with dead eyes. Maybe he had a bad day, who knows. Later that night I started showing symptoms of food poisoning. That lasted for 3 days. I don’t see why this place has all this hype. Overpriced unseasoned & undercooked food. Thanks Bar Mut for the bland food & your version of Cod Cheek Sushi. Also thanks for wasting 3 days of my vacation.More

I was very disappointed in this place after I had read so many wonderful reviews. Three limp sautéed shrimp were served as a starter…I believe the price was 16.00. The fish was not cooked in the center and very blah after the waiter had recommended...it as their specialty. Many better choices in this fine cityMore

Depending on how many people you are, I suggest that if you're a small group you just walk in and ask or as suggested before ask the hotel to make the booking for you (in Spanish)

We were here for lunch. We don't have children, and I would be totally fine with a family with children sitting by us. I would agree with the others that lunch is probably more suitable than dinner in your case.
