This restaurant is always a good option if you want to enjoy great tapas at a good price away from tourist attractions. This bar is always full of local people and it’s 100% recommendable to go before 21h if you want to be sat without...queuing. They do not accept bookings, so once you get there, you will be given a number and you will have to wait until you number is shout out. The staff is very close and friendly and the service is very fast. The TOP tapas of this restaurant is Bravas potatoes, Fried small fish and “longaniza”. We really like going there and it’s a MUST if you want to try authentic tapas.More

Second time here. Went with two Barcelona friends. We went early-ish 8pm. All the dishes good. Even the pigs ears! Especially liked the snails and calamari. Great service and ambiance, busy and noisy!! Drank the Turbio cloudy wine, good. Although most folk on beer !!...Highly recommended.More

This is an extremely popular destination tapas restaurant for Sunday lunch. We were seated within an hour of arrival so only go when good weather! Extremely efficient service when seated. Good range of tapas on offer, the morcilla being the standout for us. Bravas, padron...peppers, stuffed mussels, spicy sausage all great. Cuttlefish a bit chewy Accompanied by beer Excellent valueMore

I have been numerous times to La Esquinica and I must say this is the place you must visit if you want a local tapas experience. Best Bravas in town and so much more. I will be back very soon.

If you want to taste the best tapas in the city, well served, fresh, amazing fast service (there are like 10 people in the kitchen and 10 more waiters), you have to grab a taxi and go visit this restaurant, where you can even step...into some pro local sportsmen (basketball and football). During weekends it is fully packed, they do not make reservations and it is first come, first served. They give you a number and it can take 30 minutes to get a seat, but it is absolutely worth it.More

La Esquinica is one of the most well known bars in Barcelona to taste real tapas. Their "patatas bravas" are just the best ones in town -from my point of view-, but the good thing about them is that they also have a massive list...of other excellent tapas, both fish and meat based, which makes the place an excellent choice for a tapas meal. Service is also excellent. Most of them have been working there for years (decades!) and they keep extremely friendly and funny. No doubt this is a must go. Be ready to lineup on peak hours though. This restaurant frequented by locals is some way off the tourist route but worth the effort. Prepare that you might have to wait in line a bit but the service is very efficient so you will be seated quickly. Amazing tapas selection along with their...Turbio wine. And don’t miss their Santiago cake and liquor dessert.More
