I stumbled across this place and was blown away. As an avowed pescatarian it's great to find a restaurant catering to my ethos. I had scallops, mussels (a daily special) which were so plump and juicy, I had to order extra bread to soak up the yummy sauce. For my main I had the grilled octopus which was perfect, nicely charred, amaze. Peter the owner recommended a great bottle of wine and some delicious pisco sours and we even got to meet the chef Richie at the end. If you're a seafood fan definitely check it out.

We chose Lascar 74 for our last night in Barcelona and we were so happy with our evening. The pisco sours were delicious and refreshing, the oysters were great and our host was friendly and welcoming. My husband has been converted to ceviche! We topped it off with a light lemon tart and shots on the house- thanks for a perfect last night of our honeymoon to Barcelona!

The co-owner (Scottish guy) is super friendly, lovely to chat to. The Parmesan scallops were delicious and the ceviche - wow! So fresh and light which was nice after a v heavy meal the night before. Although it was so filling! We were absolutely stuffed honestly couldn’t finish both portions because we wanted to leave room for dessert. So much fish compared to normal ceviches so great value for money. The dessert was also sooooo good. We had the lemon pie between us - so creamy. Brilliant. Thanks from the fellow Brit who’s also scared of flying 😀.

The food and service were both excellent. It was a fixed price menu but very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The seafood was fresh and the dishes were original. Peter, the owner really made us feel welcome. It was the perfect way to ring in 2020!

The staff was really friendly, but the food was dissapointing. The owner told us about the excellent quality, maybe it was like he said, but the way it was prepares was really bad - the prawns were so overcoocked that the shells were not coming off the meat, the sevice was fine but it was served with some poached beans and some
of them were burnt and really bitter. And finally the octupus - it was so salty that it was barely eatable. So for the price you pay for the food - it was a really bad experience despite the good recommendations that we received before coming here. Also we have booked the table via thefork and it was supposed to give us 30% off the a la carte menu, but the final receipt didn’t have the mentioned discount and we didn’t really understand why. So You really need to step up!

Incredible place, every dish was a true pleasure. The menu is small enough to ensure the freshness of each dish while at the same time surprising you at every dish. We enjoyed every single dish but would highly recommend the scallops in starter and the octopus with of course some pisco sour to accompany the meal. The service was great and the team super friendly

The food is fabulous, fresh lively flavours accompanied by, in my opinion the best Pisco sours in Barcelona or if you prefer carefully selected wines & beers. The lemon pie is to die for. And above all what must be the best Customer Service and Barcelona. I have been here on multiple occasions and never been disappointed

We dined here on our last night in Barcelona and there could not have been a better culinary ending to our trip to Spain. We had made a reservation for 930 but we were late which really didn’t matter because the restaurant was practically empty when we got there which usually is not a good sign. It is a very casual place with wooden tables but very comfortable. We ordered several small plates to share which were all excellent but the standout was the prawns. I have rated a lot of shrimp/prawns in my lifetime but these may have been the best. I will end this review by saying the service was as good as the food which might it even that much better. If and when we ever return to Barcelona this place is on the top of our list to return.

This place is a little gem if seafood is your thing!
Tucked away in Poble Sec this restaurant has a simple menu with daily specials. It’s is because of the small menu every dish is executed so well!
Starters comprise tapas and oysters served with different sauces!
Mains are ceviché and other seafood delights!
There are also some excellent organic wines to choose from.
Peter who runs the restaurant is Scottish and he is always helpful as are all the staff about explaining the menu and specials of the day!

Returned for dinner after excellent lunch.
Peter the owner is a Scott with passion for the origins of the food he serves and the wines he sources. He is fluent in Spanish/Catalan and his relationship with local customers was very authentic. Food was fabulous and very much focused on quality with no compromises. Short menu of excellent fish dishes, amazing, and very good value.
Almost all gluten free, fresh and healthy!
Would definitely recommend and will return.

Me and my partner went for our anniversary and the service was on point attention to detail and you can clearly see the passion through the flavour. I would highly recommend this lovely little gem in Barcelona. My partner is Happy because I’m not easily pleased so his done well 😊😊😊

My hotel (Brummell) staff suggested Lascar 74; so I popped in for a late dinner. A spot was readily available and the staff were a delight. I was suggested the special (grilled octopus with potatoes and a rosemary infused oil) which I ordered, alongside the classic Pisco. Additionally and thanks to the owners generosity, I had the opportunity to try a natural red wine which was phenomenal with the dish! Truly the best octopus I have ever had. Everything I enjoyed was fantastic, and the owner, Peter, is a true delight (and, not to mention, easy in the eyes). Can’t recommend this spot enough. Would love to try the ceviches. When I come back to Barcelona, I’ll come back to Lascar!

Lascar 74 has excellent innovative cheviche and very good local seafood options as well. We tried both the cheviche and octopus. Both were perfectly prepared and portions were generous by Spanish standards.
A lady who served us was very considerate and kind. After hearing we had to make it to a Barcelona game in a nearby Olympic Stadium in about an hour, she made sure everything came on time.
We ate at a terrace but interior seemed very stylish with nice little details.
They are located little off the main tourist areas on an idyllic side street.

OMG, what as amazing place, we had such a nice evening.
The place has a real good feel about it, nice atmosphere and very friendly, helpful staff and the food, well that was the best.
We had the oysters to start and I can honestly say they were the best I have ever had. They were big and meaty and had a great flaour, but also had a citrus dressing that was equally delicious.
That was followed by mussels. We live in Scotland so we eat mussels a lot, and these were good, but what made the difference was the sauce which was kind of tomatoey (is that a word?) with some spices, delicious.
Finally, the house Cerviche, which was fresh, with a lovely sauce, my only complaint was that the fish was really soft, but the beans/nuts were very hard and it was a bit too much of a contrast for me, but still fanstastic.
This coupled with a few classes of Pisco and some great conversation with the American guys sharing our table and some excellent service, made it one of our best nights in Barca :)

We had a great meal at Lascar 74 which we chose as it was a dear friends birthday.
The entire experience was first rate. The ambience, the food the drinks and the service.
From the very first bite to the very last the flavours and presentation were faultless.
We spent 9 days in Barcelona and this restaurant/ bar was our favourite spot .
