Keep your promise. We went to several friends, including a Russian person, because we were curious to taste the cuisine of their country, and we ended up satisfied. The food may or may not like it (for the record we liked it) but it is typically Russian. Right price and attention.

Very tasty, I liked everything - borscht with lard, shish kebab, Olivier salad, solyanka, beef stroganoff, pancakes, compote. There is also a business lunch. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.

I had mushroom soup and Syrniki, with dark Russian bread. The food was nourishing and delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the place for authentic lovely Russian food.

I work with Russians so I was excited to try this restaurant out. About 2 weeks ago I went in the restaurant and first I wanted to buy cigarettes before I had my meal. I must say the old blond woman behind the counter was super rude when I asked her about the cigarette machine, her response was very condescending and guess what I know how to speak Russian too so her comments to her co worker because she probably thought I didn't understand what she was saying were totally uncalled for. She treated me as if I was so me sort of retard to the point that I decided I was not going to stay there to eat. I even said Spasibo at the end and she said.... NO NO THANKS OK . This old woman should realize that Barcelona is a tourist city and receives tons of foreigners that don't know how these machines work or get activated. Luckily there was a nice Peruvian restaurant full of people at the front which was delicious and not empty like this place was.

This is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona, I know that may be saying a lot, but everything that we ate and the service we received was top of the line. The food was prepared with love, with skill, and with fresh ingredients. The interior is large, with lots of space. We absolutely loved the service, our servers Ilona and Natasha were very friendly and paid a lot of attention to us. They were extremely nice and wonderful to talk to. We met the owner/chef as well and she was fantastic. We came here three times in our holiday in Barcelona, one time to grab lunch and two times for dinner. Wish we could come here more, and when I return to Barsik next year I'll be stopping by for sure. I recommend everything, from the classics like Olivier and Shuba, to the soups, and the larger entrees. This is a fun place and I recommend coming back.

Rather than tapas tonight, Wanted something a bit more substantial and less greasy. Found this Russian restaurant by chance which was inviting from the frontage and nicely decorated. I had a trio of picked vegetables as a starter, while Jim had the salmon blinis, with a side order of bread, which was delicious. The mains were stroganoff and Chicken Kiev. The Kiev was home made, (not the flat supermarket variety you used to buy in the nineties). Left the restaurant feeling replete, just what we wanted after a long day of sightseeing.

We found this restaurant by chance and did not regret it! Over our week’s stay in Barcelona we went to dine at the Souvenir twice.
Really good food, friendly and beautiful staff.
I will definitely go back when I am in Barcelona again :) I do recommend it to others :)

We went as a group of 13. The food was absolutely disgusting, but what upsets me most is the fact the staff is arrogant and does not accept any kind of criticism! Salad olivier was tasteless, lacking salt, quality ingredients and dill (5Euros). Blinis with red caviar were cold, and the red caviar tasted chewy, as if it had been open for a long time. The portion was ridiculously small for 9.50 Euros. Cod tasted frozen and greasy. Dessert was also frozen or packaged, certainly not home made or Russian.
Coffee was cold and without cream on top. Wine was cheap and undrinkable (a hard thing to achieve in Spain). I feel I have been totally mocked by the lack of professionalism and quality in this restaurant. We were charged 30 Euros per person for less than 20 Euros worth of "a la carte" food. A total rip off. I wouldn't pay 10 Euros for what I got! Steer clear, go to 7 Maravillas instead !

We went to this place expecting some good Russian food and let disappointed
The food quality is poor and the flavors average at best
This is like a souvenir looks like a great idea to get it but once you have it your are like dammm this was not good and not worth it

Following our trip to Russia we were surprised and delighted by the typical Russian food.
When we learned a Russian restaurant opened in Barcelona we wanted to try.
The experience was perfect, Russian servers and real good Russian food.
Worth a try!! We will come back for sure.
