This was our second time at Perello’s and we love it. Very informal market ambiance, great service and tasty food. This market is spotless; the floor shines like a mirror. This place gets busy during lunch so you might have to wait a few minutes...but it is not a long wait. We ordered white wine and an assortment of appetizers. Everything was tasty. Their specialty is cod so getting the croquettes is a must. They also have sardines, octopus, etc. nicely flavored. The service is fast and friendly. We really enjoy eating with the locals. If you are in Barcelona and tired of busy streets and tourist traps, you will enjoy this place.More

I ate at Perelló today and it was just "Ok" and not worth a special trip via two trains. The restaurant was recommended by a native of Barcelona, so I was eager to try it out. After eating two finger food items, I decided not...to try more. Since the two dishes were ok, then I wasn't trying more. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

I loved this little setup in Mercado Ninot. It's a tapas bar specialising in baccala (salted dried cod). I'd never eaten baccala before, despite several visits to Italy so this was a treat. I liked it. The bar is just a pull up your stool...situation and you jostle elbows with your fellow diners so it's very congenial. Everyone - staff and patrons - was very friendly and altogether it formed a very pleasant market experience. There was an extensive drinks menu as well as a good variety of lunch dishes. I'd go there again if I was a Barcelona local. It was fun and inexpensive.More

You can not miss the dish of the day, a more than worthy proposal in the neighborhood on weekdays. You can do tapas too.

Nice staff, very helpful, nice fresh food which we enjoyed very much. We had a great first time experience, we ate croquets de tinta de calamar which was nice. The whole market is lovely & where all the locals go so much more chilled out....Highly recommended 👍More

We went here just before lunch and you can tell Chef knows and loves good food. Very authentic (many stalls at the market have no English-speakers, but Chef and several other do at Perello), but everyone is helpful. But Perello...I dream of this place! The...squid too! Ask Chef what is the special that day and let him feed you bites of heaven. Fab place, from food to service.More

This is where many locals stop for their tapas and drinks. It is located in the Mercat del Ninot and was recommended to us by a guide. We were a group of six. We tried a variety of tapas along with some wine and a...selection of specialty olives. So very good. Oscar and Terabel were great and made our time there a wonderful experience.More

Agree with an earlier TA review - this place is much more authentic than La Boqueria, which when we visited was mainly packed with tourists taking photographs. Food here was lovely - same cod croquettes, a little smoked salmon and potato salad, some cod and...tomato ceviche and some Russian salad - all, absolutely beautiful. Washed down with two glasses of beer and two glasses of cava - all for 37 euros. And surrounded by locals - not tourists. For ease of ordering the menus were available in Spanish and English. It is open from 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Saturday, with a late night to 21.00 on Friday. We visited from our stay at the Corner Hotel - it is literally a two minute walk away.More

We really enjoyed this market - it is less manic and touristy than the Boqueria and yet still has lots of great food on offer. We ate up at the counter for lunch and enjoyed plate after plate of delicious food. A great spot for...a bit of tapas.More
