Always the way you find the best places on your last day ! Walked past this place several times during the week and in the last day decided to try breakfast here. The bacon and cheese baguette was delicious and the coffee was one of the better coffees iv had in years. With a good variety of things to pick... More

We paid a couple of visits to Viena during our 4 day stay in Barcelona - good selection of snacks to choose from and very efficient service. Staff were friendly and prices were reasonable. Worth a visit.

Restaurant is strategically located at the Pelai street. Very nice environment. There is a combination of fast food style with Spanish manners and products. I ordered a Croque Montmarte sandwich, very good! Good service. I noticed there was a lot of customers going in and out, so it gets crowed. Low prices, about 3 Euro per sandwich.

People are often persuaded to avoid Las Ramblas for Restaurants & Cafes and it is true that many are tourist traps and overpriced establishments. Viena is not. A pleasant, roomy, Cafe/Snack & Restaurant venue where food will always please and drinks are reasonably priced...the baguettes are more than just good. Enjoy Anthony

I'm enjoying THE sandwich now with a salad and a coke, maybe not a penny pinchers meal (13.5EUR in all) but it's easy enough to order if you work up the courage (it's a fastfood after all so it's not cool to be the dumb tourist holding up the line --> study the menu card on one side first like... Important business first: the famous sw praised by the NY Times. I had many sandwiches in Barcelona and in Spain and in my all life... and this was ok, but nothing out of this world. However, the place offers a calm shelter from the mess of the Rambla, the bathrooms are clean and nice, the beer is normal price. The... More

They say it's the best sandwich in town and probably they're right. My friends living in Barcelona often have their lunch there. I had the hamon iberico sandwich. Not cheap, almost 7 Euros. The crispest bread ever, half a tone of hamon inside and covered with a wonderful sauce of fresh tomatoes. Worth every penny. Open almost around the clock.

My friend saw a blogger said Viena is the must-go restaurant for breakfast, so we visited there (twice) during our trip. The food was fantastic! I loved the sandwich I ordered and the free croissants. The flam(pudding) was the best! It's almost the same taste from my hometown. We almost burst into tears when we had it! The egg tarts... More

This place is poor. Despite the local is nice and cozy, the food is overpriced and not tasty. Being urged by nice looking and designed local we entered to give it a try. We got dissapointed. We got served a dry and burnt baugette with a little something inside. It was so dry that we couldnt swallow it well. And... More

I know i know, its a chain but a nice one at that... I always love to have the ham sandwich ( act local and ask for a "entrepa de pernil") with coffee and some pastry to end the meal with something sweet. Ask for "ençaimada". So many nice memories... Lovely place, sitting at the counter... Must go back!

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
