The tasting menu was extensive and fabulous. Service is attentive, but not over the top, just how we like it. Every dish was a work of art in its own right.More

Our family with teens loved this restaurant. So delicious and innovative, yet with some traditional food. Great service, very attentive, professional, nice suits, and nice GM came by. During a family trip to Barcelona we stayed in the hotel connected to this restaurant. As it was very convenient to go to this restaurant we decided to do so. We had a reservation for five persons, one with a allergie for mussels. When we...arrived there was a small error made that our table was set up for 4 instead of 5. This was fixed as soon as possible and it was repeated that there were not going to be mussels in any of the courses. I looked at the previous reviews on TripAdvisor and the main tip was to ask for a cocktail. As I did try this I was so pleasantly surprised. They actually come and make and shake it at your table. We ordered two cocktails and there were two ladies who came to shake them at our table perfectly synchronized. The food was really good, we all had the tasting menu. It was the first time we went to a more high class restaurant and that I liked every dish. Extraordinary textures with really good flavors. Adjusting the menu was also not a problem, as I preferred the chocolate soufflé. They even gave me an adjusted menu to take home. Overall experience: Amazing drinks, extraordinary food, relaxed atmosphere and real professionals who serve you. Definitely a must if you enjoy amazing food.More

Compared with the other 3-star restaurants visited on this trip Lasarte speaks big city elegance and black suited waiters in abundance. Service here is unparalleled. There are a few menu options and feeling a bit overwhelmed from prior meals we opted for the slightly smaller...Lasarte Menu, a mere 8 courses plus assorted appetizers. The food is an excellent example of creative takes of traditional plates. Nowhere else did we see variations on things like smoked ink risotto or filet with port wine sauce. Of course, everything is done perfectly. The wine pairing includes only 4 wines during the meal but they are well chosen and amply supplied. Clearly a great place to eat in Barcelona and a fine counterpoint to our other more exotic meal there. I must also admit that I made a mistake when booking months ahead and somehow reserved for 22:00 rather than 20:30. I only discovered my error upon arrival in the hotel lobby minutes before 20:30. I called the restaurant and to my surprise they were able to graciously accommodate us at the earlier time. The only thing I disliked was that, unique among all 3-stars we have eaten at, they actually charge your credit card 100 Euros per person at the time of booking. This charge is applied to your bill when you dine as a credit. I much prefer the universal approach of simply taking a card at time of booking and charging it for any no show.More

We booked our reservation for lunch at Restaurante Lasarte many weeks in advance of our trip to Barcelona, our first visit to this beautiful city. We had been so looking forward to being treated to a wonderful experience at Lasatre. The experience well exceeded our...expectations! The house was full and the place was bustling. For our lunch, we enjoyed the Tasting Menu along with wine pairings. Each course was exquisite and the pairings went along so beautifully. The staff were very professional and also engaging as they responded well to the fun we were having. At the end of the service, the house manager, Joan Carles Ibáñez, and the Chef de cuisine, Paolo Casagrande, came around to thank each table. Such a nice touch! The food! the wine! The service! The atmosphere! All exceptional! What a terrific way to spend 3.5 hours on a lazy Saturday afternoon!More
