First time in Barcelona staff were very arrogant and rude slammed bill down on table and didn’t speak a word to us

Italian restaurant run by Italians. Food was really good and price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend to Italian food lovers

Very disappointed at our meal this evening. Arrogant service, one was chewing gum! Food mediocre and the bill very expensive for what we had. No atmosphere, which normally you would hope to experience in an Italian restaurant. They couldn’t care less. So many fabulous restaurants...in this city so just go elsewhere. Won’t return or recommend!More

...I may have lost my acquired immunity. We dined at La Bella Napoli and the main courses were on average satisfactory. The Lady had an excellent gnocchi dish. Truffles were unavailable, so I ordered a Sicilian Ziti with Gorgonzola. This was a bit greasy and...heavy. I also ordered a house salad which was tabled coincident with my companion's entree. My entree was delivered later. Strange but the experience got stranger. Near the end of our meal, our waiter had an altercation with the owner, an investor or a patron who was sitting at a table alone. As the waiter swept the floor, the diner barked his displeasure and gesticulated authentically Neapolitan disapproval. We had asked for dessert earlier, but now insulted our waiter stomped away and we had to leave the dining room after some twenty minutes to secure our check sans coffee or tiramisu. If you enjoy top-of-your-lungs operatic entertainment, then and only then, this might be a restaurant you'll enjoy.More

Bella Napoli is the closest thing to enjoying real Neapolitan food! I’ve been visiting the restaurant for the last 5 years and it’s been always a pleasure to eat there. The food it’s always of high quality! The prices are fair and the service it’s...always of high standards!!!More

Went here this evening and couldn’t quite believe the whole experience! Disaster out from beginning to end. I asked if I could have tagliatelle with pesto. This dish wasn’t on the menu to be fair but any Italian kitchen will have these two ingredients. They had...neither! Shops were open and as someone who has been a chef/restaurant manager, one ensures all ingredients are sourced prior to service. Never mind. The waiter suggested I had the meat balls with spaghetti and tomato sauce. I agreed. I received a serving of two meatballs and a pile of spaghetti and sauce, all of which was very bland. I don’t understand how you can make such a bland sauce. But more baffling than this was the bruschetta. No garlic and bland tomatoes. I mentioned the lack of garlic and the waiter insisted this is as it’s supposed to be. Never in my ten years of going to Sicily (6 or so times a year) have I had bruschetta with no garlic. I think the chef needs to acquaint himself with the use of garlic generally. At the end of my main course I asked the waiter if he thought it was ok to only serve two meatballs. I asked repeatedly but had no real answer, no apology or any attempt to rectify my dissatisfaction. In fact the whole service was abrupt and curt and they seemed indifferent to any of our requests like having to ask for salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese. It’s no t cheap here either. I know I not in Sicily but I’m am baffled how you can make such tasteless “Italian food”. One other delightful aspect was one of the waiters bringing in two dirty wheelie bins into the restaurant to clean with a cloth that he then left on the side where he prepares coffees etc. I took a photo f my main meal. The hilarious thing is, 5ere is an identical photo on here of the same dish/complaint so they clearly are so arrogant they take no notice of any feedback. See ya La Bella Napoli..........never.More

My family had an extended month long stay in Barcelona. We found La Bella Napoli during our first few days and became regulars over the month. The Pizza Diavalo is tremendous. My 6 year old goobled up the pasta each time it was served. He...has an egg allergy and the restaurant was super accommodating and helpful. Pricing is fair and portions are perfect. Usually had left overs for the next days lunch.More

The pizza was INCREDIBLE (5 stars!) but the pasta bolognese was TERRIBLE (no stars, the meat was incredibly gamey and bland). Service was sub par too (the only place in Barcelona I can say that, every place else we went service was amazingly friendly).

The food was just ok but the service was not. Waiters were a bit rude/ arrogant and not very helpful, resulting in us not being satisfied. We had four different dishes and none were better than average. We would not go again because of the...poor service.More

Do not go here. It’s nit genuine and it’s overpriced. At first we had to wait painfully as several members of staff walked past us without acknowledging us to be seated. Then once seated we ordered our pizzas which arrived within 5 minutes and were...literally thrown at us. This was the last time we had any engagement with our waiter! The pizzas were the worst I have ever had. And being a chef I actually considered if the pizza dough was actually a crepe mix. Something just wasn’t right. The pizza was horrible: had a strange taste and was very undercooked. The service was terrible and the staff didn’t seem to acknowledge us at all to the point where we had to leave our table and ask for the bill at the door. The head waiter (so it seemed) was then very apologetic. The bill was extortionate for what we had and was actually shocking. Safe to say we will not be visiting again.More
