We arrived at this restaurant while looking for something special and it seems that for the food scene in Barcelona, not even the sky is the limit. We knew nothing about this restaurant and with two vegetarians in the group, I can say we had a lovely experience. Low music, low lights, fantastic decor, very professional waiters, surprise snacks or... More

I believe i was one of the first customers in this restaurant, i was quite surprised at the time how the experience looked like, one of the chefs would come to explain what is in the menu today - after a while, when it became popular it obviously changed, and now is one of the waiters doing that - i... After endless tapas restaurants, we wanted a fine dining experience and we got it at Pla. Located in the Gothic section with its narrow streets it can be a little hard to find, but in reality, it's just a couple blocks off Via Laeitana or La Rambla and its worth searching for. First off, our waiter was very engaging and... More

Maticulous attention to detail and sophisticated flavor combinations. We Lao tried the wine pairings which was a great opportunity to sample some interesting wines from the local region.

I was worried a little bit when i stepped in the restaurant everything seemed casual for a gourmet restaurant but when the food started to come i was amazed. Baked aubergine and duck breast are really amazing

The place is nice, the atmosphere is great, the service and people are great, but the chef... the chef takes you to a journey to new tastes and high quality gourmet food which guaranties that you;ll have a great experience. They have a selection for vegetarians, vegans and lots of gluten free dishes. Highly recommended !!! (for everyone and especially... More

My wife and I went to the Pla restaurant at the suggestion of our concierge and because it is an easy 7 minute walk to the Palau de la Musica Catalana. And we're glad that we did. The restaurant is quite modern looking although it is within the Gothic Quarter. And the food preparation and presentation is also quite modern,... More

I found this restaurant online and it had lots of rave reviews, and our hotel concierge also recommended it. It's in a small back street several blocks from the main tourist street Las Ramblas, but thankfully is not a tourist trap. The place is dimly lit and is small, but with two levels. The menu is not large, as it's... More

My boyfriend and I are living in Barcelona since years and love to explore restaurants. Considering the huge choice, reviews are indispensable to us and usually we do find places we like. Not in the case of Pla - I sincerely do not understand how this place could have such good reviews. The service was ok(ish), the ambiance was nice,... More

This is the second time we visited the restauran. First visit was in 2015 and we remembered having a very excellent dinner. This time around the quality of the menu was again very good. We had the Mackerel for starter, and 65C egg with mushrooms, and for main the Seaweed and prawn risoto, and the Iberian pork. Taste wise they... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
