They tell you to get lost in the Gothic Quarter whist in Barcelona, but make sure you find this place. We visited Barcelona in January and booked Pla for a Saturday night. We enjoyed every second of our time in the restaurant. Classy meals were accompanied by professional service. Highly recommended.

We needed a last minute reservation and our hotel concierge recommended Pla. Was a great suggestion. It reminded me of traditional Spanish food with a modern twist. Daikon radish carpaccio - had to try it. One of the most unusual yet delicious dishes I've ever had. We had duck confit and the seaweed and prawn risotto. Both were creatively prepared,... More

I travel all over the world and have eaten in millions of restaurants. Trust me when I say it's fantastic food. You must try the octopus starter and the passion fruit icecream. The service was friendly attentive and knowledgeable. Great cosy atmosphere .. I will be returning.

I usually love to leave great reviews, but this one is deserving to let people know they can do much better in Barcelona. The food was very bland and unadventurous. Possibly if your vegan or vegetarian those dishes may be better. The service was terrible even with a reservation it was over 30 minutes before someone came to take our... More

On sundays it can be a challenge to find a decent restaurant that's open in Barcelona. Luckily Pla was open and we made it to our destination. The atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful. The food looked great - but sadly the taste was only ok, nothing special that will blow your mind. I think this was a bit on... More

Came here for a friend's 40th with a part of six. Decor is lovely. Location is central within the gothic quarter. Staff were friendly. Food was poor. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. As a big white wine fan I found my first glass undrinkable. My husband described it as a sour wheat beer. The food was clearly... More

We arrived at this restaurant while looking for something special and it seems that for the food scene in Barcelona, not even the sky is the limit. We knew nothing about this restaurant and with two vegetarians in the group, I can say we had a lovely experience. Low music, low lights, fantastic decor, very professional waiters, surprise snacks or... More

I believe i was one of the first customers in this restaurant, i was quite surprised at the time how the experience looked like, one of the chefs would come to explain what is in the menu today - after a while, when it became popular it obviously changed, and now is one of the waiters doing that - i... After endless tapas restaurants, we wanted a fine dining experience and we got it at Pla. Located in the Gothic section with its narrow streets it can be a little hard to find, but in reality, it's just a couple blocks off Via Laeitana or La Rambla and its worth searching for. First off, our waiter was very engaging and... More

Maticulous attention to detail and sophisticated flavor combinations. We Lao tried the wine pairings which was a great opportunity to sample some interesting wines from the local region.
