I came across the Argenteria Taller de Tapas location while heading to a restaurant recommended by one of the staff at my hotel. Just 2 days prior, I went on a failed mission to find the Rambla Catalunya location so I was pretty excited to have found the same restaurant in a different part of town. My boyfriend and I... More

On our way to Santa Maria del Mar, we stopped for lunch at Taller de Tapas. The day menu was nice (esp. the arangina), the service sharp and the atmosphere friendly.

Had tapas: the potatoes were the worst element (frozen roasties) of the dish. The mushrooms and chic peas weren't too bad. I'm surprised to be able to state: I've had better Tapas in Barnsley. Also: I don't know how to run a restaurant, but there must be an art to being really busy, whilst at the same time providing a... More

Hello ctuk2020, Thank you for taking the trouble to leave a critique on Tripadvisor, we really appreciate all feedback. Our potatoes are hand cut daily and fried to order - they are certainly not frozen. We´re sorry you didn´t find the restaurant as relaxing as you would have liked - this is indeed a fine art. Running a restaurant is... More

This place used to be OK, but it has now become a tourist trap (they have opened several franchises). You can find much better tapas elsewhere in Barcelona.

Dear trantor2312, Thank you for posting your feedback on Tripadvisor - all is very useful! We opened our first Taller de Tapas on the Plaça Sant Josep Oriol in 2003 and over the following years have taken the plunge on 6 more gorgeous spots around the city. None of these locations are franchises,we are a family business and very hands... More

Yes, it's a chain, which the thought of normally sends us running in the opposite direction!! But, maybe surprisingly, luckily, or a combination of both.....we visited 3 times during our last stay in Barcelona and on all occasions, were thoroughly satisfied with our meals. We systematically ate our way through the tapas menu. Memorable dishes include the grilled sardines, fried... More

We basically lived on jamon, manchego, tomato bread, and wine while we were in Barcelona. This restaurant fits the bill for all of those. I can't comment on other food, but what we had was excellent. In addition, we enjoyed sitting outside and just relaxing for a while.

I found this restaurant coincidently; they make the best paella I ever had. And also the sangria was very good. By the way don't miss the fried artichoke and patatas bravas.
