Our dinner at Gourmet Sensi was a wonderful surprise. We found the food extra delicious and interesting. Variations on standard tapas including a delightful croquette, amazing iberico ham, perfectly accentuated burrata on pumpkin, tasty tenderloin, and perfectly cooked truffle ravioli were served with a soft in the middle crusty outside tasty bread and attentive, timely service. The staff went above and beyond to keep our glasses full and food on our table, including some help with wine selections. We look forward to returning next time we're in the city.

We took the croquettas + ham and bread, then the salmon and lamb (really very tender lamb) and for dessert cheese cake and chocolate mousse, a delight!

To celebrate my husband’s birthday, I was delighted to make a last-minute reservation via Google Maps at Gourmet Sensi. Upon arrival, we were immediately met at the door and given our choice from the available tables. Drinks came quickly and the friendly, knowledgeable waiters helped us choose from the menu. There was a selection of traditional, seafood, meat, pasta and vegetable tapas. My husband loved the octopus and I the potatoes bravas, such a delicious sauce! Our neighbours highly recommended the pumpkin and the ravioli. There was another party celebrating a birthday and we chatted with them, too. We were even offered a surprise treat at the end of our supper. The casual atmosphere and close tables really encouraged everyone’s enjoyment of the space and the food. If I lived in Barcelona, this would definitely be one of my regular haunts! (3 drinks, 4 tapas and 1 dessert cost us about 60 euros.)

If the meal was anything resembling the website videos and photos, it was in the imagination.
The best of the three dishes i had was ordinary, the second dish, the octopus confit itself was over salted, which takes some doing. The third dish, the razor clams, were essentially inedible - sandy beyond acceptable, chewy and tasteless.
I ate one clam, and pushed the plate to the other end of the table. The waiter, without acknowledging me, picked up the plate, said nothing and took it away.
When i called the waiter over and asked him whether he had noticed that the clams were not eaten, he told me he had not.
He eventually asked me if I wanted to replace the dish, I declined, and when I got the bill, I was charged for the razor clam dish.
I have been in Barcelona for 2 months, have eaten out countless times, and this was without any doubt the worst experience I have had.
For the record, this is the FIRST review that I have posted; this is how bad the meal was.
Finally, in the over hour that i was at the restaurant, i did not see one of the staff crack a smile. Clearly, they are not there because they like their job.
Pity for the diners.

A much anticipated dinner ruined by terrible service. My friends and I had found gourmet Sensi when looking at a variety of restaurants in Barcelona. We booked a table and were asked to arrive on time which we did. Upon arrival we were told our table wasn’t ready, which we appreciate can happen. We thought we might be invited to the bar to sit and order a drink whilst we wait but instead were expected to wait outside for 25 mins which we did patiently as we were looking forward to the evening. The food was fresh however slow. Our waitress was kind but busy as it was understaffed. Our drinks were extremely slow and we felt like we were not a priority from start to finish, even when ordering most of the menu, several cocktails and wine. After finishing our food, we ordered some additional drinks and the bill. It took over 30 mins for these to arrive and by this point we were keen to move onto our next place. The waitress asked us how our evening was and we shared some gentle constructive feedback around our wait times and asked for the bill again. She shared this with senior staff in earshot of a bartender and to our surprise the bartender proceeded to outwardly mock us, leaving us feeling extremely uncomfortable. We were at this point quite shocked and explained this to the manager who discounted our bill and offered complimentary drinks for his behaviour, which we declined. While I’m not sure why this happened, we left saddened and disappointed irrespective of the reduction in bill.

We have dined at Sensi a number of times over a few years and the quality, in terms of service and food, has always remained very high. Whilst it retains the feel of a tapas restaurant. the dishes are very modern and inventive and all with incredible taste. Staff are all exceptional. It is highly recommended and I look forward to when we will go back to Barcelona so we can visit Sensi again.

This is the fifth time we eat at Gourmet Sensi in Barcelona
Both the service and the quality of the food have been the same style, relaxed atmosphere, cosy and just great food.
Guests often come from all over the world and enjoy the food
We can see that the chefs are the same through all the years, and that time they could also recognize us

Gourmet Sensi is a small cozy designed tapas place.
The quality of the food was good, but no more "gourmet" than some other tapas places we visited. As inexperienced tapas eaters, we didn't feel like we were given the best guidance on how much to order.
The music, which was partly modern experimental jazz and electronica, was not to our liking.
When booking, we were told that we only had the table for 1 hour and 45 minutes, which did not give us enough time for dessert or coffee.
There are equally good and more authentic traditional tapas places in the city.

We had made a reservation at Momo based on reviews and it was just a few blocks from our apt. @ 8:30pm. We were seated but there was a large group of 20ish at a long table that were so loud, we chose to bail.
After some deft review surfing, my son suggested Sensi Gourmet just a short walk from Momo.
Some times you just step in sh$t and boy did we! The tiny restaurant was fully booked. They were able to seat us at the bar which turned out to be very fortunate (except for my wife who hates that her feet don’t hit the lower rungs of the stool!).
Our bartender/server Rodrigo made it a great experience. It’s primarily tapas but the put some interesting spins on the classics. We ordered the house rioja which was great and my sons had a draft.
Rodrigo made some great suggestions and when he heard it was by birthday 2 days earlier, he bought the whole bar shots of some tequila, lime and ginger concoction that was quite good.
We ordered a bunch of tapas including ravioli with Parmesan cream, seared pardon peppers, soft cooked egg w/ hummus & chorizo, Razor clams and Galician style octopus as well as some pan tomate.
We loved everything except the razor clams which we a bit tough and fishy.
I decided to end my meal with an espresso martini and Rodrigo made them for the whole bar (all 7 of us) to celebrate his colleague Alva leaving for design school.
Dinner was about 100 euro for the three of us and if it were back in the states and we paid for the freebies from Rodrigo it would have been more that 2x more.
I would highly recommend making it a point to come to this great spot in the Gothic district.

I came to this place with a friend of mine, a nice and well-furnished place but excessively small (we sat on a high round table with stools). We dined exclusively with an appetizer accompanied by a cocktail as we were not very hungry and the amount spent was decidedly exaggerated (30 euros each). The food is not bad but I repeat not up to the prices. Friendly and helpful staff.

Always a pleasure to visit Fine Dining Fan Sensi! We are welcomed by a super obvious staff who Guide the menu and recommend the right amount of food, composition and wine. The food is perfectly prepared and tastes absolutely wonderful! Fine Dining Fan Sensi is always a must when we are in Barcelona and we look forward to the next time! We will definitely see you again!

I'm studying for a semester in Barcelona when my friends came to visit me, they had high expectations to eat in a good tapas restaurant
Gourmet Sensi is extremely popular, so make sure to make a reservation 3-4 days in advance. Otherwise, there is a risk, especially at the weekend, that you won't get a seat. We booked our table at 21:30. When our group arrived (9 people) we were warmly welcomed by the waiter. As we were all very open-minded, we decided that the waiter should bring the best tapas in 7 rounds. Each round had 1 plate of vegetarian and 1 plate of meat. I really enjoyed the fact that they didn't bring everything at once and only when both plates were empty did the next course arrive (the waiters were very attentive). Every round was delicious. But I recommend you order the "Vegan "roasted chicken" croquettes" and "Burrata stracciatella, Km0 eggplant ragu, rocket, capers, basil oil" for sure. these two were incredibly good. what we wouldn't order again are the "Organic potatoes bravas". I will go again in 2 weeks because it was so good.

A little hidden gem worth visiting. Great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff were warm and welcoming and upon ordering the smells and seeing the other meals being served made your mouth water. the taste sensation from each course was amazing and the different courses came out at a steady pace so that you could enjoy each plate and savor the flavors. great food and atmosphere. well worth a visit but you must book as they were turning quite a few people away and we visited mid week.

Our first tapas experience in Barcelona after deciding to visit here due to the trip advisor rating. We have travelled a lot in Europe and this was the worst/most disappointing meal we have had. We ordered 6 tapas dishes, sent back the lamb and beef as the lamb dish was drenched in salt and I needed a hacksaw to cut the tenderloin which was drenched in oil. The razor clams (at 14 euros !) were like eating rubber and grit whilst the octopus was similarly overcooked. The prawn croquettes were at best average and some organic egg dish was just wrong on at least 2 different levels. On the plus side the staff were very pleasent. Save your money for the tenderloin at the Caminito Steak restaurant.
