Visited on a recommendation. Food was reasonable but definitely not the best tapas that we have had over the last few days. Food appeared at other tables that was not on the menu and service was not great. Although we wanted wine we never were privileged enough to be shown a wine list. So overall average rating fair but would... More

Stopped in as part of a walking food tour that I highly recommend. I knew we were in a great spot as I viewed the incredibly fresh seafood as we walked in. We had great service...as would be expected on a coordinated small group tour. Our three "montaditos" were amazing... Gambas y calamares (Shrimps/prawns and calamari skewers) Camembert crujiente (camembert... More

Visited this place in the middle of the day, only several tables were occupied. We've sat inside, studied the menu in about 5 minutes, then have just been waiting for the waiter for another 5-10 minutes. Not a single waiter has come to us. After that we've decided to sit outside on the terrace and told about it to the... More

Friends and work colleagues recommended this place and we were not disappointed. Good start that it was mostly Spanish eating here, as you're a little off the beaten track. Even so, it was only 10 min walk from more touristy area so no big deal and well worth it. No English menu but waiters happy to help and advise. All... More

Our lovely taxi driver recommended the restaurant - and what a fantastic recommendation it was! It took some finding as we were miles away but worth the effort. The restaurant was packed (it was a Fri eve) but they took our name and told us it would be about a half hour wait. There is a bar in the narrow... More

Came here because of the good reviews on tripadvisor but didn't meet my expectations... Some tapas were really good such as the Caneloni, but all the other dishes were rather small and unsatisfying...especially the salads. We ordered Chicken breast which was good...but and the french fries were awful.. Service was very average and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

We didn't wait long to get in (it was packed) but the food was okay, the sangria good, but the service was sub par. The couple next to us came in after us and paid at least 40 minutes before we even got a check (and this was after asking). I know things are done differently in Spain but it... More

the wait for the table was worth it, although i would recommend trying to get seated downstairs, as you can pick from the delicious appetisers at the bar. we tried to do a cross section of the menu and honestly, nothing disappointed. i recommend the sardines and the garlic shrimp.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona. Every time I have some one visiting me at Barcelona I take them there. You will get amazing food at a more than fair price. Everything in the menu is amazing and waitress will help you in case you have doubts. This is not a tourist restaurant is packed always by... More

There are a couple of La Flauta restaurants around Barcelona. I'm not sure which one we ate at (our hotel recommended it ), but it specialized in Sandwiches (baguettes) and Tapas and it is where the locals go to eat. We got there early (7:15 ish which is early for dinner) and they were able to accommodate our party of... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
