This was reccomended by a friend who had been there and said it was good. Unfortunately me and my partner didn't think so. The food was average, prawns didn't taste very good. The staff weren't very friendly and the service was super slow. They also forgot to bring us some of the tapas we ordered. Wasn't until we paid for... More

I lived in Barcelona for a year, I can say I´ve been to La Flauta probably 50 times. The food is always absolutely incredible, best quality and always with a quick and kind service. One of the things I miss the most from Barcelona is this restaurant and the crunchy cheese salad.

Nice reasonable tapas restaurant. Only issue was we were not offered an English menu despite being obviously English. We struggled through ordering dishes in Catalan. Waiter was helpful is advising our choices We spent around €45 on a litre of sangria and 5/6 tapas dishes.

I thought the tapas here were really reasonably priced and very tasty. On the whole we ate well, but not exceptionally, in Barcelona and this was the best place we tried. You'll benefit from having a little bit of Spanish but it's no problem to make yourself understood if you don't!

The food is the highlight of this restaurant! The service is fast and effective! There is usually a waiting list but it's definitely worth the wait!

Oh my! I am still dreaming about those Angry Eggs. Yummy!!!! Delicious and creative tapas in the back room of this vast restaurant. Stay up front for something more casual or find your way to the back for a hint or class. Quick service, variety of dishes, and phenomenal plates. Please, please, please get the angry eggs. Start with it... More

Found it on Tripadvisor and went to have a look, found it bustling and decided to give it a try. The tapas are plentiful and very very tasty. Could probably do with a bit more selection in the embutidos part, but everything is very tasty. Will definitely go back.

There always seems to be a long line to get into this place, but after our meal, I'm not quite sure why. On the whole the tapas were just about average. We sat upstairs where there was one waiter taking all the orders and then there are runners who literally run the food up the stairs when it's ready. My... More

There's no shortage of tapas in Spain but La Flauta is definitely up there in terms of quality, selection and taste. Everything we ate was truly delicious and the wait staff were friendly, charming and efficient. Menus may be found in English and most of the staff had good command of English. The ambience is up scale and more elegant... More

It was a surprise find when my partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant. Amazing tapas and friendly waitresses who speak very good English. Food is very reasonable and GOOD! Washed our lunch down with their house pour red wine!

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
