We were in search of some ceviche for lunch while in Barcelona, ended up riding the metro then walking here and getting there when they were just opening. Beautiful colorful environment with colorful delicious food to match. We had two kinds of ceviche and both...More

Booked a table for new year’s eve for four. The restaurant call itself “Caribbean” which raised, frankly speaking, some doubt (what can be cooked in the Caribbean other than the usual fish and seafood?). All possible doubts were wiped off from the very first serving...More

We loved our visit to Macondo while we were in Barcelona. The Colombian flare offered some great diversity to the normal Tapas selection. The flavors were well balanced in the things we tried and we loved everything!! The decoration of the restaurant is incredible and...More

Named after Gabriel García Márquez's fictional setting in his acclaimed novel, 100 Years of Solitude, Macondo, is a lovely Colombian/Caribbean restaurant in Eixample Left that serves 'typico' Colombian fare. The restaurant is nicely decorated with Colombian crafts. The menu has a number of creative and...More

Got in to this place by ”accident” as the Paco Meralgo was full and had to wait more than half an hour for a table. We had nice Ceviche Trio (three different ceviches) and Arroz Mariscos, kind of seafood risotto with creamy coconut milk. Some...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best
