Comfortable restaurant
About
Open since December 2014, the restaurant Disfrutar (in English “Enjoy”) arose after years of intense work at elBulli, where Mateu Casañas, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch met and trained professionally, and after reaffirming the work done at Compartir opened in April 2012 in Cadaqués. Disfrutar is not a replica of Compartir, but they are united by inherent aspects that reflect the three chefs and owners: a comfortable and welcoming ambience; attentive, close and relaxed, with a great team led in the kitchen by Nil, Antonio and Francesca and in the dining room by Toni, Patricia, Rubén and Vicente. In Barcelona the gastronomic offer revolves around the tasting menu, with clearly avant-garde cuisine

Disfrutar is located in the modernist city of Barcelona. You can find the most modern Mediterranean cuisine in Disfrutar.Every dish is the surprise of taste and challenge of inertial thinking. Three highly creative chefs --Oriol,Eduard,Mateu reminded me of that sentence: "Anyone can cook. But only...the fearless can be great."When facing them, my thought is:please show it, show humanity's endless creativity and imagination of food! I also visited the laboratory with chef Oriol, it's my pleasure, because it is the place great ideas were born.Next time if you come to Disfrutar, please don't miss its laboratory.More

We've been fortunate to have dined at a few of the top rated restaurants in the world, and Disfrutar is right at the top. This is a restaurant still striving for excellence and not resting on any laurels. The creativity to the dishes, friendliness and...competence of the staff and deliciousness of the food all make this a tremendous place. I can't wait to go back whenever we are in Barcelona again.More

A magical evening. My evening at Disfrutar ranks among the best meals I’ve had. A fantastic experience in all aspects. The sommelier was great, we really enjoyed the tour of their wine cellar. Want to visit again.

Disfrutar is an awesome fine dining restaurant in Barcelona. The whole dining experience is excellent. The decoration is quite "simple" and elegant. The staff is very friendly (as they are supposed to be in this kind of restaurants) without being too much on top of...you. We had the classic set menu and it's simply gorgeous. As you may expect, the bill is also gorgeous.More

Fantastic place! Really Michelin star restaurant . I have never seen this type of serving meals. It was very tasty, my family was amazed by the quality of the food we ate in this restaurant. There was only set menu no a la carte. Also...the kids food was also very good my son was eating with pleasure. We were very happy to be here, I hope we will be here one more time and we wish them good luck on getting 3rd Michelin star.More

Best restaurant experience we ever had. We already had some experience with one and two star michelin restaurants but this was the best experience ever. Arrived at 1 and left just before 6. When entering, we walked through the restaurant, while getting some info about...the kitchen and being greeted personally by one of the chefs. We decided to take the classic menu (30 courses) including the wine pairing. Everything on the menu was great, especially the deconstructed ceviche and the famous carbonara. Service was exceptional. It felt like you were threated like you were the most famous person ever haha. Special mention to julia! She was such an amazing person, had some great chats with her during the service. Afterwards we had the chance to take a look at the wine cellar and the new creative kitchen they recently opened next to it. To end our afternoon, we got a picture with 2 of the 3 chefs. Overall, an unforgettable experience! Hope to visit this place again so we can try the seasonal menu.More

Lunch lasted 4.5 hours in 30 courses. Nothing was what it seemed. We sniffed 25 year old vinegar while eating gazpacho in the shape of a grilled-cheese sandwich. There was apple cider on dry ice, mint chocolate cotton candy on a real cotton branch, liquid...salad, fruity dew drops on flower petals... At one point I had to rub whiskey on my palms before eating a bite of cake. The service was top-notch, with carefulness and synchronized movements whenever two servers brought plates to the table. The host introduced us to the head chefs before the meal. The large crew parted attentively every time I walked through the kitchen to the restroom downstairs.More

We had an anniversary to celebrate and we’ve celebrated that in this fine restaurant. After we were welcomed by the crew and the chefs, we were directed to our table. We choosed the degustacio grand classic, which has 25 courses. These courses are very small...but at the end you will have eaten enough.....trust me! But for the ones who like to use your forks&knives and like to see a nice piece of meat/fish/or whatever, maybe this menu is not designed for you. But for us, this was a great experience and we enjoyed it enormously! I’m sure we will be back. The only thing which I found disappointed was the lack of a festive bouquet of flowers, because we were there in the Christmas season. The dry bouquet in the middle of the room wasn’t something you expect in a 3 star Michelin restaurant and they had forgotten to dress the table with a nice white linnen tablecloth. But maybe I am old fashioned and didn’t get the theme of the restaurant. Anyway, this will not be the reason why I will not go back and why you all have to go there. It’s an amazing restaurant and one of the world’s finest.More

We heard a lot about this restaurant and kind of looking forward to it. We tried the 20+ courses menu and found it a bit bland. Maybe the food do not fit our palate. Maybe our expectation is too high. The restaurant is completely full...though.More

It is a very adult atmosphere with well-paced but long service. (Plan 3-5 hrs per meal). Likely not many kids enjoy that type of thing. That said, there was a mother and son, maybe 10 years old, having lunch together when we... More
