This upmarket restaurant has it all. Excellent food , great choice of wines and a roof that opens up on lovely evenings.

The sign actually grew me of: it looks like a sign for a bar in key west, not a high-end luxury restaurant in Barcelona. Downstairs, there is a very nice innovative fish/sushi/wine bar. Ideally, I would have gone early to have an appetizer and glass...More

My wife and I together with my brother and his wife tried this restaurant on our last evening in Barcelona. We turned up around 8 pm without a reservation, found the menu acceptable though quite expensive and were offered a table upstairs provided we agreed...More

Our meal at Tragaluz was outstanding. Jamon Iberico was delicious and we watched them carve it off the leg. The onion soup was delicious and the service was great. Try to sit upstairs, the loft feel was very unique and really cool. I bit pricey...More

Excellent service--not rushed but not slow. Food was delicious--cod for the main course, tender and not dry. The onion soup appetizer was quite different and excellent. Desserts were different from anything we'd had, but excellent as well.

We went to El Tragaluz on our last evening in Barcelona. After standing in a queue for around ten minutes (really common in Barcelona) we were then told that we had to go upstairs if we had a reservation. Although the ground floor looked really...More

Really closed from el Paseo de Gracia, the "chic" area of Barcelona, this place is simply amazing. The building has three floors (with a japanese restaurant on the first floor) and is trendy with wood, steel and glass roof. We has excellent jamon and great...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best

Tragaluz has become a gathering place for prominent citizens and one of the most glamorous establishments of the city. The menu is based on traditional Mediterranean cuisine but is also cutting edge. The removable glass roof gives the restaurant, which is located in the centre of the city, a pleasant and unique atmosphere.
