El Nacional is one of the most famous places in Barcelona. It's a huge restaurant, or better there are four different restaurants underneath one single roof, founded in 1889. Prices are (of course) a bit elevated, but the quality of the food is pretty good.

I highly recommend dinner here if you are dining solo. Plenty of bar seating and it’s a lively environment. The server was really nice and recommended an excellent glass of white wine. The food is excellent. I noticed the wine pour wasn’t great, that was...the only downside I can think of.More

Really close to Casa Batillo. Beauty of a place with lots of photo opportunities. We grabbed a quick beer around lunch at one of the bars. Was very busy but service good and beer wasn't as steep as some places we went.

Great food and great service! We went to La Llotja - the fish restaurant. The Spanish prawns and the Paella we're second to none!

This was very disappointing, the food lacked flavour, had poor presentation and choice of ingredients was a low quality. It was not value for money. The only saving grace was prompt service. Definitely not a ‘gastronomic’ experience. The desserts were inedible.

This is the second time we've been to Barcelona. In 2015 I gave an excellent review but, without knowing why, many comments have disappeared from my account. The place is great, no doubt. Immense. With several different places to eat and drink. The service could...be better on the flirt side. Price a bit exaggerated. The idea as a company is interesting, but, something so big, requires better accompaniment of the services provided.More

The decorations and ambiance is great how ever the food is very standard we ate seafood which was not as good as our previous experiences in barcelona. How ever the potatoes bravos was good.

Recommend stopping off here. Amazing, huge market with array of food and drinks. It is as you would expect, very touristy but has a nice vibe.

We stayed in Barcelona for 5 nights and almost went there everyday to try different restaurants. Nice place with good food, a bit pricy but actually the price is similar to those at La Rambla.

Fantastic tapas in a beautiful venue. We went on a Saturday over Easter. It was very busy around 1.30pm and quite a queue for the tapas restaurant but I’m so glad we persevered. Food was really, really good. We were lucky as there were a...few larger groups in front of us, we were a couple so got seats fairly quickly at the bar.More

El Nacional was a great find! So many great food options in one place! We stayed in Barcelona for 5 nights and could have eaten at a different eatery each night! Instead we trekked to different restaurants around town! It’s a must stop place!

We decided to eat at El Nacional based on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. It was a last-minute decision, and we are so glad we took his suggestion! The restaurant has a fun, energetic, youthful vibe and offers the choice of several restaurant formats...within a single building. We chose La Braseria and loved it! We are two parents who enjoy traveling with our kids, who are in their twenties. We do not eat pork or shellfish and had no problem whatsoever in finding menu options that worked well for us. I ordered the oxtail steak and really enjoyed it. We shared a bottle of local red wine that was not only delicious but very reasonably priced. It was fun eating here. We don't speak Spanish but noticed that we were the only Americans dining in La Braseria that night. We enjoyed feeling somewhat like locals and thought the wait staff was excellent. Don't hesitate to go here!More

This venue is full of life and great food and drink options. The decor is very cool - art deco themed with lots to take in. It is well located in central Barcelona and includes for restaurants plus various bars. It gets extremely busy during...the day and evening, with a slight lull between 5 and 7pm. Well worth a visit.More
