We just loved this restaurant. The tapas were the best we had in Spain! Unique and delicious! I loved the idea of paying by counting the toothpicks. It was a very small place and you did not have a table to sit but the food was worth it! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We have eaten pintxos in the front section of this restaurant many times and always find the selections interesting and fresh. The staff members bring out wonderful hot items from the kitchen as well as the vast array of choices on the counter. Last week we ate in the back section of the restaurant where we ordered off the menu.... More

This place came highly recommended to us by the chef at a cooking school where we took a class. We went for a snack before dinner and ended up staying for about eight tapas and two glasses of wine each! It did not disappoint.

During a recent visit to Barcelona my wife and I stumbled upon Irati as we walked through the Barri Gotic. The bar was crowded 4 people deep and everyone was having a great time. Not wanting to stand for our lunch we moved through the crowd to the small restaurant in the back. It was then that we discovered what... More

Ask a plate and You choose cold tapas from the counter. Warm tapas are served from time to time, but you can always ask. The taste of each tapa is very good. Drinks can be ordered. I weekdays at 18h it is not too crowded. The final bill is based on the number of sticks you have on your plate.

Irati is a traditional tapas bar. Stand at the bar and enjoy a wonderful selection of fresh tapas. Staff also walk through the bar offering hot freshly cooked tapas.

While this is known as a tapas tavern, we had a sit down dinner her and it was one of the best meals on our 21 day trip. We had roast suckling pig and the thin crispy skin was the thinnest and best we've ever had even though we have had 60 years of Chinese roast suckling pig. This was... More

We ate lunch here with friends. The place is very popular. Also somewhat hard to locate. However, the tapas are excellent. There is no seating when eating tapas, but the staff is very helpful. When you enter go straight to the rear, get a plate and order wine or other drinks. Then snag any of the large variety of tapas... More

Got in to Irati about 8.30pm on a Friday night and had no trouble navigating the tapas selections alongside good sangria and red wine. Good selection and really personable service from the bar tenders who accommodated our pseudo spanaish!

We tried the tables at the back of the tapas area, as the tapas area was crammed. The food was very expensive, most main courses were €20 - €25, but me and my wife both ordered the market daily fish (Seabass & Turbot), these together were €65, which wasn't indicated, when we added the recommended side of grilled red peppers...
