A great little tapas bar (standing only) with some of the best tapas I have tasted. Make sure you try the crab tapas - superb.

Ambiance and staff were super friendly. The restaurant part was nearly empty when I arrived. The pintxos bar is clearly the place to be here. Nice food and a vast array of pintxos are served. Hot pintxos are served to the guest straight out of the kitchen. Nice homely feel to it. The place could do with a couple of... More

You can stand at the busy tapas bar or do as we did and walk back to the nice dining room. We splurged on the Menu Aralar for 40 euros each, which was worth the price. All five courses were delicious. Excellent service and good wine.

One of the most delicious pinchos I have ever tried! The place offers an interesting variety of flavors and I highly recommend it to those more picky when it comes to food quality. My absolute favorite pincho was with ricotta and raspberry marmalade. Also, couple it with a glass of sweet-sour Catalan red wine, Jaspin Negre and your dinner is... More

Went to Irati for the first time in 2015, having gotten a recommendation from a colleague who told me to "just go there". I was completely overwhelmed with their amazing flavor combinations. Went back there this summer and was happy to see that they still haven't lost their touch. A favorite continues to be the bacon-shrimp-cheese croquettes that are an... More

Delicious freshly made tapas, they look awesome, and there is quite a wide variety of them. I would go back there anytime I'll be in Barcelona.

We travelled to Barcelona after spending 5 nights in San Sebastian (The pintxos capital of the world ?) These were better than any we tasted in San Sebastian. Fantastic quality and flavour combinations. I recommend you wash down with a glass of the txakoli white wine.

Irati Taverna Basca is a pintxo bar. Pintxos are Basque-style tapas. Most pintxos are a slice of baguette with an assortment of toppings: seafoods, meats, vegetables, cheeses, spreads, etc. The pintxo has a toothpick; holding the stack of toppings on the bread. When entering a pintxo bar, you request a plate from the bartender. He/she will provide the plate and... More

The tapas at the bar looked good, unfortunately we made a reservation which meant we were seated in the restaurant and not privy to the tapas being served at the bar. Service was good, food was not great. The rib steak was over salted, undercooked and very rubbery. Not what we expected given the price of €55.
