We've been going here for 22 years. GREAT drinks (they make the best caipiriña in Barcelona. Great guacamole and great chicken fajitas. It's always fun and easy going. For years we went every Friday night for dinner. GO. You'll love it. We do.
Our hotel was just a few steps away from this bar. What a find. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and the cocktails very good. There were many regular clients which made for a lively atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Visited here on our first night.
Since it is a bar, if eating here you should expect service to be average. It's polite enough but the tables are somewhat canteen-like.
The bar food is delicious however and along with cocktails you could expect to pay...around 50 Euros for a decent experience.
That said, I'm not sure if it really worked for me. The service is somewhat relaxed and trying to get the attention of someone is almost nonexistent. Trying to settle the bill was tough and whilst the staff are busy I got the feeling they were not a polite bunch.
So the food is good, there's a relaxed vibe (almost too relaxed) and a somewhat unfriendly vibe from the staff here so I'd say it probably makes for a good bar but if you're looking for a better experience of a meal you could try somewhere else.More
Our first night in Barcelona we went into this place mainly because it was so close to out hotel! What a gem of a place. Relaxing, safe, comfortable. I had a cocktail €8.50 and a pint of Estrella €3.00. Decor was cute and funky, would...definately go back here for drinks amd propbably would try the food!More

Currently living in Barcelona and I found this place in a Best of Barcelona book. The cocktails are great and the bar is really chilled out. It’s almost always fully booked so I would recommend booking ahead, although the automated system is in Spanish. We...had chicken fajitas and they were soooo good, probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s become my go to place for meals with friends, would 10000% recommend, was full of couples and people with friends in large and small groups. Just off the bottom of La Rambla, isn’t hard to find at all !More
We came to Margarita Blue to catch some good cocktails with my parents visiting for Xmass and we were really surprised by the great taste of the tapas and super good drinks.
Really nice and classy place with great kitchen.
Highly recommended 😃
I visited tonight with my friend for a meal and drinks. I had the Sangria (2 jugs of it 🤪 and he had the cocktails. We had nachos and quesadillas to start and then chicken fajitas. All of it was delicious. The staff and the...atmosphere were lovely too. I would definitely recommend this place.More
Lovely food, good waiters and a great selection of strong cocktails. Nachos were delicious, the only downside would be that enchiladas were all off the menu when we visited. Also one of the waiters came round doing some magic which was nice and very good....Would definitely recommend and visit again!More

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
