Decent coffee, quiet atmosphere, but one of the waiters is slow and rude. Even on an incredibly quiet day, he ignore you rather than serve you.

Nice place, indeed chilled to read a book but nothing special for me. It was a bit overpriced. There is indeed a huge shelf with books to check so that could interest u

This place is a typical book store in the basement but with the innovative concept of relax and food (not spiritual) upstairs. Good for lunch as they have different types of menus and including healthy options. Very democratic prices. The service is a little bit...slow, but in general people come here to relax and enjoy spiritual talks and books companion. Desserts are good and a glass of wine included in the price of menu.More

They have only 2 plugs on the wall near the tables were you can sit and work on your laptop. The rest is a restaurant, so unless its past 4pm or you are eating, you cant sit there. Not recomendable if you are planning to...come and work with your laptop.More

Cool and original place as it's a mix between a library and a café. Pretty quiet. You can also have a snack.

Delicious lunch after a long morning at Sagrada Familia. I was hungry and their Barcelona salad hit the spot with a cup of coffee. It was not cheap, but very good.

Fantastic hideaway for reading or getting some studying done. The location is more like a book store that happens to have a café rather than the other way around. The wifi is excellent and the atmosphere is cultured and relaxed. There is also a nice...patio/terrace for larger meals which I didn't try on this occasion. The only drawbacks are a lack of power outlets if you are looking to charge your laptop. Also, be sure to bring a sweater if you plan on spending a decent amount of time here as they like to keep the a/c running strong.More

I had heard about this bookstore as a great place to find books in Spanish during my visit, along with a great coffee shop. Indeed, both are worth the trip. It's easy to find, the staff were very helpful with my book searches, and the...cafe is definitely worth a stop--good cafe con leche.More

Modern book shop near Plaça de Catalunya with cafe upstairs. I am learning Spanish so came here at the recommendation of my teacher - a native of Barcelona. Bought a few easy reading Spanish books and had a deliciously simple breakfast (coffee and chocolate croissant)...in the dining area upstairs. It was very relaxed and a welcome respite from the busy surrounding streets. Free wifi and friendly helpful staff made this an all round great spot. They sell books in Spanish and Catalan so be sure you know which you're after. I made the mistake of buying two books in Catalan so had to return to swap them, but this was no trouble at all and the staff were more than happy to help.More

This is a famous book store come library in Barcelona. It's the kind of escape from frenetic City life that you'd usually find in a red brick street in Boston, Washington DC or San Francisco or an intellectual quartier in Paris. There's a large cafe...with patisserie upstairs for casual dining. It's very popular with locals. Although it's located in the epicentre of Barcelona, it doesn't seem to be on the radar of every tourist.More
