This place came recommended from a friend. As you cannot book in advance we rocked up in good time. Luckily our waiting time wasn't too long and we were seated upstairs. Out initial impressions were good as the restaurant was bustling and the atmosphere was good. The food was nice and came in a timely manner, however the service left... More

We came in here after deciding the menu looked quite good. The service is awful, no eye contact and you'll be lucky to get a smile. I strongly disagree that this is the best paella in town. There is barely any lathing other than rice. A 2 person paella will get you 1 King prawn, 2 mussels, 2 octopus rings... More

Lovely restaurant with great food. They prepared gluten-free version of their mixed Paella for us. We enjoyed our dinner in La Fonda.

The arroz negro (literally black rice) is delicious. Is a squid rice better enjoyed wuth the ali y oli sauce. Good food in a nice atmosphere.

Very nice looking restaurant in the gothic quarter. Had the mixed paella for two people and croquettes as a starter. Food was well presented and tasted good. Reason for a four rating is even though the staff were professional we didn't find them warm or inviting.

Booked here for a Party of 10 before arriving in Barcelona. The atmosphere was excellent and also the service was speedy. The food was very good value for money and the portion size was just right! Drinks were quite cheap as well which we were surprised about. Only down side to the experience was walking out of the restaurant and... More

We were very lucky to just be able to get a table here WITHOUT booking, but it was in Nov. The food was lovely, service was very friendly and helpful, and at a good price.

Found this restaurant by chance as we wandered around the Gothic Quarter. Lovely old building, excellent food and service and exceedingly reasonable prices. Opens at 13:00 and fills up very quickly. There were queuing to get in so get there early for a generous three course lunch plus wine and bread for €11 each, or order from the a la... More

The restaurant is very well located, very close to the end of La Rambla (Drassanes metro station). It's well decorated and provides a good environment. The best is the food. I trully recommend the mixed paella. Mid-range prices.
