Garlic prawns and tiny squid were good! The sangria was nice. Unfortunately the waiter who served us made me feel uncomfortable, as soon as we ordered he started shouting to other staff and they were all laughing, made me feel like they were talking about...More

Jai-Ca serves old fashioned and average tapas that you could gave found in Spain in the 70s or 80s. Atmosphere is a bit odd in the bar, a mixture of locals who don't want to see new faces and particularly not tourists . Service is...More

Went there with my boss. Being myself a Chef I must admit that there is some craft over there and really good tapas and the atmosphere is authentic and lively. Tried the vermouth for the first time and I must admit that I was love...More

On arriving to the restaurant the staff were very friendly but halfway through the evening one of the waiters accidentally spilt an entire glass of water in my partners lap. The entire top half of her jeans was soaking wet - he was apologetic and...More

A friend recommended me to go there, but it is not good at all! Very average food and the waiters are rude. You don't feel welcome... Not a single reason to come back again.

Excellent traditional local atmosphere, incredibly tasty tapas. If the names on the menu cause you trouble, just point at the dishes at the counter. Waiters spoke English too.

So rude. It was unreal! Probably my worst experience in Barcelona so far. I have never encountered such rude people. They sat me somewhere and then moved me because a local friend came. They then told me to sit next to the toilets. No words...More

We had high expectations of Jai-ca and were extremely disappointed. The only good thing was the amounts of food. However, the deep fried squid seemed to have been been frozen, many of the croquettes were cold in the middle - frozen? - the padron peppers...More

Spanish friend took me for ‘real’ tapas. So close to the tourists yet so far from touristy. The patatas bravas and the bombas and the mussels and the squid were delicious. Very lively and fun place with fast service and most importantly super delicious tapas....More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
