Originally a meeting place for fishermen, the tavern transformed into an eatery when Poble Nou became an industrial hub and hungry workers filled the neighbourhood. In the 70s it became a place of refuge for young people from the area who were anxious for change. The old tavern, Els Pescadors, has withstood the test of time and the coming and going of trends. It has born silent witness to the deeds and events that have influenced the future of the city.

Abusive prices. They charge you almost 2 euros for tap water that tastes like hell. I went for my bday and I felt robbed and angry instead of enjoying with my family and friends. Quality of seafood was ok, my rice was salty and I...More
Omg! Service was terrible, food was average with premium price.
We were so uncomfortable, looks like a very high expectation restaurant but by the end of our experience was very poor.
A lot of better restaurant for 1/3 of their price.
Service was so unfriendly...More
Els Pescadors is located in a secluded small square at Poble Nou.
They offer a personality Kirchen,
especially in fish and bacalao (dried
cod).I have been there many times and everytime was a great experience. The prices may are not cheap but they are according to...More
This restaurant was recommended in our MOMO cityguide, but I think the recommandation was from years ago. In the book the target price for a menu was 25 €, the real price for a starter is between 25 - 30 € and a main dish...More
It took us awhile to locate this restaurant as it is located in between rows of buildings. There is one huge old tree in front of the restaurant facing the courtyard. We had a group dinner here and the food was pretty good and service...More
My husband and I love sea food and fish dishes and try new restaurants all the time, in all corners of Europe. In Spain we've enjoyed paella de mariscos, sardines, bacalao and pulpo. We had great expectations for an evening at Els Pescadors but were,...More
The staff were nice enough and the setting pleasant. The food is another matter. A supposed seafood restaurant known for its ‘rices’ and fresh fish. Well having travelled the world and eaten the very best fish I am advising all visitors to Barcelona to avoid...More
Definitely fresh food, extremely tasty. Clean table cloths, friendly employees. Good choice of food, however sounds strange, that there were no shrimps in the restaurant. Every cafe in Barcelona has shrimps. May be i was unlucky. The rest all is perfect!!!
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of
activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
