This place was our first 1 star abroad, and what a theatrical experience it was. I do not remember that much as it was over 4 months ago, but I do remember this: a restaurant with 2 lanes of tables, long, ambient lights. English well spoken sommelier, very attentive, attention to detail. Courses were delicious, tasting menu. We were quite... More

This restaurant has one Michelin star, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are awarded a second in the not too distant future! We went for the four course tasting menu, with wines to match, and every single course was fantastic! The service was excellent, a really enjoyable and informative experience from the moment the shutter was raised to let... More

I recently had lunch with my wife at Cinc Sentits (as dinner reservations were not possible). We came with high expectations as this restaurant had been highly recommended and the chef did a great job at exceeding them! The place is probably in the verge of getting its second Michelin star which would be well deserved (they already are pretty... More

The tasting menu with the paired wines, was sublime. The freshest of food with the subtlest of seasonings. The beauty of the presentation reflected the care coming from the kitchen. A real symphony of tastes, beautifully delivered.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I are from New York, and have dined at some of the best restaurants (including Daniel and Bouley). So when we made our reservations 4 weeks in advance to Cinc Sentsis (based upon ratings in Trip Advisor, and most tour guide books), we were very excited to secure a table. Upon... More

This is one of the best meals I've ever had. I rank it up there with Le Bernadin in New York. The chef is an artist with food, thus its Michelin rating. There is just one seating at dinner and only 10 tables. Friendly service. We went with the six course tasting menu which is actually more than 6 dishes.... More

Took the large tasting menu with wine pairing. Food was exceptional, with two or three dishes outstanding. Food wise this restaurant deserves two Michelin stars and not just the one they have. Winepairing was also exceptional, with food and wine raising each other to higher levels. This should always be the case, but at Cinc Sentits they really succeeded. Also... More

Cinc Sentits claims to be one of Barcelona’s best restaurants. They have impeccable table service, beautiful presentation and over thought food. It feels as if it should be in New York or London but in Barcelona it is over the top. O believe it was three times more expensive than any other meal we ate in Barcelona and while all... More

This is a must for gourmands/foodies! We ordered the 4 course prix fix and had a total of 14 small food items. Then they send you home with a book listing all the food and wine you had that evening. Small contemporary restaurant with excellent service and the food!!

Have read recent reviews: that rave about this restaurant. We had a horrible experience: bad service, actually rude, terrible service, average food. so many more fabulous restaurants in Barcelona, This is one to avoid, in our opinion.

Description
Awarded a Michelin star since 2008, and rated #1 for food in Barcelona by Zagat, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artal's playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers, and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal tasting menu, letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. There is a 6-course and a shorter 4-course version of the menu, both available with an optional wine pairing. All this, plus professional yet friendly multilingual service in a modern setting.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
