We were tempted to book this restaurant as it is located in a Gaudi House. Online reservation was confirmed next day. After visiting la Pedrera we walked to Casa Calvet (take 15-20min) and were pleasantly welcomed and surprised by the authentic interior designed by Gaudi. In the menu we read more about the Calvet family and history of the house.... More

Nice reception, attentive service, exquisite Gaudí architecture. And delicious food. My wife had a fish, I a fish soup (with lobster), and lobster risotto - I am partial to the beast. Prices may be a bit more elevated than elsewhere but if you deduct an opera ticket things get into perspective. And a lot better fun than many an opera... More

This is an extra exciting choice if you are a fan of Gaudi. Originallly designed as a factory this restaurant serves very good food in a delightful atmosphere.

My wife and myself like very much to have a hot chocolate in a cold night. Sometimes we go to Casa Calvet, in Carrer de Casp, Barcelona, to have what we think is the best chocolate in town! It is thick, almost a mousse, that you can`t drink like water or milk: you must use a spoon to eat it... More

I was taken here by a friend who lives part of the year in Barcelona and may not otherwise have found it myself - and that would have been a great pity. Fantastic Gaudi design with wonderful interior details and great atmosphere. Other places might have rested on their laurels at this point but the cooking was also of equal... More

Had a fixed price weekday menu option for 38 EUR with appetizer (fish soup), main course (shrimp dumplings), dessert (fruit), bread service, and a glass of wine. Service was attentive, and the food was delicious. Thank you for a nice meal. This was also in an old Gaudi building, so it was really interesting for me to see inside having... More

BElegant restaurant in a Gaudi Mansion, lovely architecture, stained glass, etc. Gracious people running it. Small & personalized service. Very delicious food, excellent service & ambience; an ‘occasion’ spot.y sharing your experiences, you're helping travelers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

First time/night in Barcelona and hubby had booked us in to Casa Calvet. OMG. Had the 'Chef's Menu'. Just amazing. This restaurant certainly deserves the ratings it has. The food was impeccable and the service outstanding. Can't recommend enough. Wowsa, wowsa.

Beautiful dining room in a building originally designed by Gaudi as a factory. Warm greeting when we arrived and excellent food and service throughout. Reservations a must.

It was our last night in Barcelona and maybe we were surfeited and I hesitate to be critical given other guests' positive experiences; nevertheless, we found the Casa Calvet to be a little somber, and the service a little slow and the food good but not memorable. The restaurant is just around the corner from the El Palace hotel in... More

Description
Restaurant Casa Calvet is located in Casa Calvet, a building created for a textile manufacturer by the Catalan Architectural genius Antoni Gaudi.

Its accounting offices, management and boardrooms have been converted into semi-private dining rooms where we have preserved taste and elegance to the delight of our customers.

Restaurant Casa Calvet is a unique and exclusive place where dining becomes a sensual experience which blends the state of the art cuisine with the beauty of Gaudi's work.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
