I reserved Casa Calvet for our daughters 20th birthday dinner for five of us. It was a lovely choice and we had a very special evening. From the moment you enter the door, there is a high quality of service and a unique atmosphere. At one time the restaurant space served as office space so there are two or three... More

I am struggling with how to rate this restaurant, and think 3.75 is fair. The interior is very pretty and romantic. The service is formal and unsmiling, but respectful. The meal, while beautifully presented, should have been much, much better at 180 euros for two people. My husband liked his meal (eggs in puff pastry, and a fish stew). My... More

Not as Gaudiesque as we expected but the food is good. Prices on the high side for Barcelona but you pay for special surroundings, one of the first architectural commissions Gaudi received. We started with very good battered squid rings and good prawn cannelloni , then fine slow-cooked suckling pig (pity the potato ring was cold), succulent duck with tasty... More

The building was designed by Gaudi and if you look at the façade there are many interesting features. The food was delicious and lovely wine to accompany it. The staff were excellent - polite and very helpful. Overall a great experience.

The restaurant is occupying the facilities that Gaudi designed more than 100 years ago for a textile manufacturer. The different rooms (accounting, direction, etc.) have been converted to a private dining rooms where you can have meetings with customers, friends or family. The menu is in accordance with the place: plenty of details and good work. Must try.

What a WOW little find this place is. A taxi driver was unsure how to get here which made it even more special as it's a hidden gem. Easy to get to once we eventually found someone who knew where it was. Just so special eating in a renovated house by gaudi. The menu holds its history and its so... More

We went to dinner at Casa Calvet on our second night in Barcelona. Recommended by our hotel. Restaurant was not too big and not too small. Just right. Super friendly and helpful staff. EXCELLENT food. Dress was smart casual. Despite its location in a famous building, the food and the staff left us with the best impression. Will definitely return... More

Restaurant Casa Calvet is located in Casa Calvet, a building created for a textile manufacturer by the Catalan Architectural genius Antoni Gaudi.

Its accounting offices, management and boardrooms have been converted into semi-private dining rooms where we have preserved taste and elegance to the delight of our customers.

Restaurant Casa Calvet is a unique and exclusive place where dining becomes a sensual experience which blends the state of the art cuisine with the beauty of Gaudi's work.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
