Not surprised about this one. Although the relative good atmosphere, food was average (slightly over-cooked paella, no lemon-water for the fingers). The desert (creppe) reconciled me a little bit. Content to have been, but won't go back.

Nice small place with very nice seafood and paella was the best we had on our trip. Fried artichoke was also great. Worth the trip!

Visited for dinner. Ordered a variety of food including grilled prawns and paella. We asked for all dish to arrive together as the 5 of us were sharing. Firstly the grilled prawns arrived but we sat waiting for the other dishes. When we asked when the other food was coming we were told to start to eat the prawns. Secondly... More

This was my second visit; it was perfect! The seafood plate for 2 is absolutely fantastic; more than 2 can eat! If you are in to eating mussels, clams, shrimps, etc.. go for it !

The very best restaurant in Barcelona for sea food. The paella is freshly cooked and the service is special. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great food and atmosphere for the price. The paella was excellent as well as the mussles, scallops and oysters.

The place is nice and quite touristy. Unfortunately all three dishes came extremely salty. When highlighted to the waiter, he said it's supposed to be that way. It was inedible.

We tried this restaurant after our friends' recommendation. The food was simply amazing, really tasty and enough portion. However, we waited very long for the ordet to arrive, and kind of confused with the menu. We had to pay more than we expected. When we asked the waiter to explain to us about the details of our order, one of... More

Good place, long walk to reach it. Near the barceloneta an overcrowded place in the summer, otherwise pretty desolate during winter. Place is the classic fish restaurant, too much smell of cooked fish in the dining hall. Our clothes were really smelly the morning after!! Paella was good and well cooked. Also good fried calamari. Well balanced the quality/price ratio.... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
