This place was recommended to us and booked by our hotel, when we were looking for some real seafood stuff. Excellent interior with white tablecloth tables (was completely busy outside), precise service (almost all waiters were gentlemen over 45 - 50, and did not look too friendly in the beginning), excellent food and very good choice of wine. Would come... More

We went here because it was supposed to be the best paella in Barcelona. The waitstaff was excellent. Fancy place. Pricey. But really good food. My husband says he still like my paella better.

Nice seafood with an excellent variety. Very good location by the beach. However a bit expensive compared to the quantity they serve. Always make an advanced booking since they are almost always full.

The food was good but very expensive. There were five of us, four of us had rice the other person had shrimp, no starters, no wine, just water...for a total of $143euros!! Ridiculous! For that price, we didn't even get to see the waitress smile! We won't go back and we certainly don't recommend it!!

Book a table outside and ask for one on the seafront side of the outside area. Good food but nothing spectacular, mostly seafood. It's a good location by the seafront with a good view of the beach but quite overpriced, €130 for two of us including one jug of sangria. If you want to be in Barceloneta then it's one... More

The whole experience, from wonderful food and wine to friendly service to the amazing just-off-the -beach location is one I will remember for a long time! We spent several hours eating, drinking and enjoying the relaxed vibe. Would definitely return!

Seven of us went through four appetizers and six main courses. Everything was excellent. Sharing and no one felt they, or anyone else, had chosen badly. One adventitious person ordered the barnacles. They were surprisingly naturally salty and delicious- once we learned how to eat the,.

I have arranged for my wife's birthday dinner at Can Majo. I have emailed in advance and asked for a nice table and a cake at the end of dinner. Although 30 minutes late, the table was still ready and waiting for us. The staff was extremely courteous and efficient. Excellent dishes arrived on time. For seafood lovers, there are... More

Stopped in for lunch on recommendation from our hotel. We had the oysters, octopus and the seafood paella. Washed this all done with some sangria. Service was warm and friendly, atmosphere was wonderful and food was incredible - best paella we had in Barcelona.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
