Ate here for lunch after visiting parc guell and was happy we did. The vermouth was good and cold, the tapas tasty and reasonably priced and service was good and friendly. We ate and drinks like kings and paid like paupers

Good food, attentive and entertaining waitstaff. Sit in the back as opposed to the front counter. Reservations are required for the back. The waiters picked the menu for us and did a very nice job. I suspect that is par for the course because I...More

Cal Pep is a famous seafood tapas restaurant. You sit and eat in the bar in front of the cooks or you sit inside the restaurant. It is usually a long long line outside with people waiting to be seated. I read one description which...More

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few

regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

Description
Cal Pep offers a fresh and bright culinary experience with easy and quick preparations. Our restaurant concept grew from the idea of sharing the dishes, their tastes and flavours, in a 'tapas'-style. Faithful to this style, Pep invites us to enjoy light, exquisite and extremely varied dishes. Cal Pep is authentic Mediterranean cuisine, reflecting Pep's personal style and incorporating seasonal ingredients. You will enjoy fish, shellfish and fresh produce, all prepared with Pep's originality and flair. Welcome and happy dining! For a truly great tapas place, sit at the bar at old-school Cal Pep, Thomas Keller's vote for the best food in Europe. -- The Guardian The 'Tapas Institution' of Barcelona. There is no shtick here apart from superbly fresh seafood, served simply and on plates designed for sharing. -- The Telegraph
