We rested from our journey round Barcelona in this convenient kerb side café. We had cold drinks and patatas bravas. The pricing was not excessive for the Cafe's position in La Rambla.

If you want to drink a coffee you have go to sit inside the cafe because outside they serve only wines beers campaigns. Very rude waiter. The sangria was very bad. Normal prices.

Sat down at 11.30. Took 10 mins to attract attention of waiter. Two soft drinks, two orange juices and a beer came to 30 €. We actually wanted coffee. It was off menu. They don't serve coffee only at lunch time. Not recommended.

Very bad service and rude waiters. Would not advise it! We spent 3 days in Barcelona and the worst experience we had, was in this cafe.

Walking down La Rambla, I saw this beautiful cafe, I knew that it was famous so I entered immediately. Seeing all those coffee shops along La Rambla, I can assure you that this cafe is cheaper and has a wonderful atmosphere inside. You can smoke later, go inside and enjoy the old interior design, you won't regret it.

The opera that the title refers to is the Gran Teatre Liceu. I found it while strolling down the Ramblas, having begun above Placa Catalunya and continuing through its increasingly crowded, hectic feeling south of that Placa. I had thought I might eat at the nearby Boqueria, but it was mobbed, on the Friday afternoon in early May I visited,... More

A group of six, we were walking along the Rambla looking for a place to eat and happened upon this one. Menu is very unsexy - kind of looked like something meant for kindergarden, big pictures and no info. We ended up all going for a pizza - they were OK, nothing more. Kind of hard to get the attention... More

Spent a few happy hours with a big glass of sangria and some tapas watching life on the Ramblas pass by Service was a bit on the slow side at times but given the location could be expected

Walk in take a photo, walk out. Deco okay, tapas and beer very bland. Picture menu should have been a warning.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
