On the recommendation of our Lonely Planet guide, my husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch while touring the Gothic Quarter. This was easily the best meal we had while vacationing in Spain. We just ordered two mains and no drinks (my husband had a cold) except water. I ordered the normal portion of pork and my husband ordered... More

Me and my boyfriend came here for a romantic Catalan meal and we were not disappointed! All the dishes were delicious, rich and flavoursome - we ordered 4 half dishes between us. Service was great and prompt! Overall a perfect dining experience in Barcelona

My son and I ate at Cafe De L'Academia on the advice of our concierge at the Mercer. We sat at the bar as we walked over from the hotel at about 945pm weekday without a reservation. Bar seating is limited to about 5 people and is a bit cramped. The restaurant is a recommended venue in Fodors so it... More

We tried "Cafè De L'Academia" following a very good suggestion of our concierge. We wanted an original restaurant in the historical center and we had it. The quality of the primary material is very good and the recipes are traditional with a contemporary interpretation. We tried Cod (two different recipes one with vegetables and the other with pistachios) and Octopussy... More

Came here the last night of my visit. Loved the warm brick decor and friendly, efficient service. Menu choices include a nice variety of fish dishes which appealed to us. Had a delicious pear, and parmesan salad to start. Shared the sea bass and also a marinated salmon salad. Creme Catalonia for desert with a nice port. The Acor 10... More

Inconspicuous and a bit hidden place which will, however, surprise you with its wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Great for lunch or romantic dinner.

In the middle of all that Barcelona has to offer is this moody place where food comes second only to the people you're sharing your meal with. Meals are very well prepared and look just perfect. Staff will assist you when choosing wine that is an 'obvious choice' for any meal in the restaurant. But this place is most about... More
