Pizzas are good (sometimes excellent), pastas are adequate, the rest is ok. Lunch menu is a steal, very cheap indeed. Staff is great, fast and friendly.

My husband used to go to Al Passatore frequently when he lived in Barcelona for five years. He loved it. So it came as a surprise when we had a really bad experience at the restaurant last week. Service was poor: blue-haired girl with a bad attitude. His lasagne was ice cold. The place wasn't even full and the food... More

Stopped on the way to my apartment. I had the lasagna that was a good portion. After the table next to me go their pizza I will have to return for that also. They have a brick pizza oven that works very well. Lasagna and a drink were 10 euros which is a good price. The service was very good.

Ate here twice a couple of weeks ago and the set menus are not only good value but are also delicious - one of the nicest salads I have ever eaten. Whenever my family is in Barcelona we love to visit this restaurant where we feel right at home.

Stumbled over this place on our last trip to Barcelona. Seemed like a nice spot for a lunch. I had a pizza while my travel companions went for the pasta. Even though I had "created my own pizza", it arrived on the table so fast that I thought it had to be a mistake. It was not a mistake in... More

On Al Passatore you can get good italian food for nice price. The "menu del dia" is well worth the price. It´ sa very popular restaurant for locals.

The staff here are rude and racist. From the moment we were seated, our waitress shouted at us aggressively and in a derogatory manner. The food was inedible and when we asked for it be to be taken back to the kitchen the staff began speaking about us in Spanish, not knowing I speak the language and could understand them... More

We´ve had table outdoor and ordered Pizza Tonno and a Mixed Fish Plate (Mixto Plancha), which is the most expensive Fish Plate they are currently offering 15.50, (we paid more than 17 EUR since it was served outside - we somehow didn´t see the supplement note...strange). The Fish Plate was a real disaster: 2 shrimps a tiny piece of swordfish... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
