I booked this restaurant as a special treat for my best friend after reading TA views. Initially we had a lovely table and great expectations, this was ruined by a terrible waiter and extremely rude manager. To keep it brief - the waiter splashed wine on the table cloth and in our food every time he topped our glasses up... More

In town on business and have one night to go to a great restaurant so chose this one based on a bit of local knowledge and the reviews on TA. We got a table for 7 at short notice. Oysters and calimari to start then I had the Sea Bream baked in salt. Delicious and so fresh it could have... More

I love ports so of course I love Barceloneta. It is a mixed neighbourhood of old school fishing/gypsy folk mixed with the influx of smart real estate punters who have arrived in the last ten years, thus creating an interesting mix of old and new to explore and enjoy.

The restaurant offers a varied deal of food, with great quality in the dishes. I would recomend it for special dinners specially in the veranda tables.

Atmosphere is pretty good. The terrace is great. Prices are high for quality offered. You overpay for location. Ultimately it is a tourist place.

One of the remarkable places in Barcelona, good design, valet parking (quite rare case in downtown), and of course excellent food and wine. Highly recomended.

We took a break from tapas and on staving stomachs after having done the aquarium and relaxed on the beach for a couple of hours without lunch we arrived at 7 (I must admit an odd hour for people to eat in Spain) greeted by a very courteous hostess we were escorted to a comfortable table and given menus in... A true white table cloth restaurant with a high level of service. Order a main course or a full a la carte meal. Certainly not the least expensive but these folks are very cooperative and all food is high quality. Lots of sea food and steaks with some vegetarian options. Nice desserts . Ask for options and they will try... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
