I visited for a business dinner in November 2016 (party of 16). The quality of the feed and the service was excellent. Definitely go for the seafood, where the starters in particular are outstanding (fried squid heads....) and the house special is the paella. Good selection of drinks, and excellent waiter/waitress service. I cannot fault anything about this restaurant.

Calamari, garlic prawns, tuna salad with onions and paella, the food was of a very high standard. The service was precise and friendly but a little to quick for our liking. We wanted to savour our experience, the atmosphere, the view of the harbour, but the speedy waiter meant we were in and out within 75mins. Very expensive, and you can definitely... More

We went for lunch and the whole experience was very good but not memorable. We share several appetizers including serrano ham, croquettes, clams, navajas, grilled zamburinas (small scallops), and pan tumaca, followed by dover sole that was excellent. Overall we enjoyed lunch but it could have been better.

The food here was amazing ! I would highly recommend the Barcelonet restaurant. The service isn't as great as the food. But we didn't let that damper our mood. The calamari is amazing , the prices reflect how good the food is. Don't go here if your on a budget.

My husband is Catalan, so asked him to recommend a place for authentic Paella... you can't find more authentic! Swiss roll for dessert is a must!

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
