Very nice place. Wonderful staff. Excellent seafood. Try clams and mussels and cod (bacalao) in many different ways.

Spectacular, if quite pricey, especially if you like fish & good vino! Waiting staff are excellent & knowledgeable about the menu & wine list. Probably better for a more formal dining experience rather than taking the kids for a "quick bite"!!

The restaurant has a nice ambience. The service was friendly and quick when we visited. All the food was fresh and delicious, especially the black seafood noodles. Overall lovely experience. Would definitely go again on another visit.

Well, when you enter this place, which is big, modern and well furnished, your expectations are quite high. Otherwise: dinner was actually average (sea Paella, meat Paella, fried fish all "normal"). Salame good. Eventually we paid around 100€/family (two adults and two children) which is not so much but without an unforgettable dinner.

We visited for a family birthday but we're extremely disappointed.. Set in a lovely location with high prices we were expecting a lot. But, this is clearly a tourist trap. Two of the party members ordered a chicken paella. When these arrived they were horrendous, the veg was in tiny little cubes like it had just come from a frozen... More

Spent our last supper at Barceloneta. Great service and very attentive to emails. Table of 5 (3 older teens and 2 @ 50) by the window overlooking the harbour. Daughter had the salted cod - said it was the best fish she ever had. My son and I had the grilled sole, fantastic! My wife had the "clams our way"... More

We reserved a table only 3 days in advance via e-mail, when we arrived our table was ready. We had fried calamari and escalivada (aubergine, red pepper, tomatoes) for starters. They also brought an amazing bread with olive oil and tomato sauce, loved it! For the main course, we had seafood paella (tasted well, although was a bit salty for... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
