If this place was a cheap lunch place, I would probably rate it 5 stars. But it's a very expensive place for Barcelona (about 50€ / person is what we paid). And when a very expensive place dedicates no more than 1 waiter for 30 people, when this waiter is in a bad mood, when the headwaiter obviously doesn't want... More

Exellent fresh seafood. Nice traditional atmosphere upscaled Restaurant with nice port view and great seafood. We had Good quality Iberian jamon and tomato breaf for starters and excellent grilled calamarcitos and grilled Sole as an entree. So so fresh and good. Recommended!

My husband and I had a long leisurely lunch here on a Thursday. Big Spanish crowd. Did not feel touristy even though in a touristy area. We had the salted cod ceviche, sardine plate, grilled octopus, seafood paella, and black squid ink paella and ended with a grilled peach. Each dish was incredible. Take your time and eat as much... The view on the harbour is spectacular! They offer outside seating which you should ask for! Food is very good and you should start with many starters to share. The tuna was especially good! As mains we ordered all kinds of fishes and I cannot say which one was the best, since they were all very good and fresh. Don't... More

we had at Barceloneta a very good dinner with colleagues from our PC; the personnel was very professional; the apero and wines very good; the bacalao just unforgettable! not to mention the various tapas we had as an entrée...just go there!

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst on holiday with my bf and thought that given the decor and atmosphere it would be a pretty safe bet. I can honestly say it's one of the most embarrassing meals I've ever had in my life. Raw tuna served with anaemic chips and nothing else for €27, I could make myself a better meal... More

Excellent food. Way too busy on a Sunday for good service (but the staff was very friendly). Prime location with lovely views! A bit pricey for comparable Barcelona restaurants!

I went twice for prearranged dinners with work. A huge restaurant but arranged in individual rooms, so it does not feel that big. Service was quick and excellent, and the food tasted very good, even though it was a set menu. this is a good place for casual business dinners.

Shaped like a ship, on the city side edge of the Moll dels Pescadors (Fishermen's Wharf), just outside the popular and touristy quarter of Barceloneta, this restaurant is designed for tourists and does its job well. It's not intimate and won't offer spectacular cuisine, but - for its sheer size - the service is good and prompt, the food is... More

Having been recommended this restaurant by a local, we decided to give it a go for the first night of my 40th birthday celebrations in this wonderful city. On arrival to the restaurant, the front desk lady was miserable, barely made eye contact, acknowledged our booking and then carried on with her business, she didn't let us know that someone... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
