Le Peninsular is a very good choice to try see food in Barceloneta. Good food in small cozy place and nice people. All their foods are fresh and delicious. They have perfect daily dishes, tasty drinks, interesting starters and deserts. If I come to Barcelona...More

Literally the best seafood restaurant in town. No touristic atmosphere. The chef explains you the daily menu and shows you what you are going to receive. Brilliant wines as well!

We went for a walk to the beach and were looking for a place with local sea food which would not be too crowded and touristy. This place was what we were looking for. Very good tuna steak, monk fish and wine.

This is a tiny informal hole in the wall in an off the beaten path alley that serves up a fairly limited menu of local cuisine, some of which you may not like. We found the paella to be overly salty, and frankly through no...More

Based on the great reviews here on Trip Advisor I visited for lunch while in Barcelona. I ordered huevos con truffle but when the dish came out it was simply 3 sunny side up eggs on french fries. No sign or taste of truffles. Uninspiring.

This place doesn't really need a long winded review.. great home-made, fresh Paella in a lovely little restaurant. Possibly the best paella I have ever tasted.. and I have eaten plenty of paellas. It was reasonably priced food and in a nice location. The restaurant...More

Don't eat chicken wings at a traditional Spanish seafood/tapas restaurant. They will be fresh, but not as flavorful at the rest of your meal. We really enjoyed this tiny little restaurant. It's off the beaten path and I feel like it's a haunt of locals...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
