Great local tapas restaurant minus the long tourist lines. They make sangrias with cava and they were the best sangrias we had in Barcelona. The tapas we enjoyed were mussels, salad with chickpeas and seafood, local fried fish (daily special), and olives. Would definitely go...More

After a walk on the Barceloneta sea front we check TA and struck gold in this place. Small number of tables everything super fresh and super tasty. Couldn’t fault the tapas, the service and the wine. Highly recommend.

After we enjoyed wonderful tapas at COLIMBRI (Barceloneta beach zone), we carried on to have coffee and desert at the nearby bar La PENINSULAR--which one of their other business partners has had open for awhile. What a quaint place it is, hidden on a side...More

Stumbled on this small restaurant, wonderful find. Simple place, unpretentious and friendly. Not many tables (best to reserve) and a smallish menu - but excellent, everything fresh and beautifully cooked. Service was great. There was absolutely nothing to criticise! Will go back next time I’m...More

We found this restaurant randomly and we were surprised by the tasty tapas and the sangria quality. Staff is also very friendly. We liked it so much that we went back there 2 more times within a week. Try tortilla con chorizo and sangria!

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

Yes think you can - we didn't and it was fine. We had a drink at the bar before a table came free.
