The owner is extremely hospitable and will help you to improve your ordering skills in Spanish. The coffee is quite strong, which I like a lot. There is also a discount on the fresh food (cakes and snakes) before closing time (starting at 19:00h).

I had a ham and cheese sandwich and it tasted very fresh. Very cute atmosphere and prices are great. Lots of items to choose from, from baked goods to drinks. Will be back.

This was a very nice and cosy cafe with fresh bakery products every day and the service was very good. The gentle ladies managing the show seemed to love their job and doing what they were doing i.e. feeding hungry souls. Freshly brewed Espresso and freshly baked Chocolate Croissant is a must have. Atmosphere is young and energetic.

Just over the road from our hotel and what a wonderful place for our breakfast, the orange juice was squeezed as we waited so could not be fresher. Be back tomorrow morning.

Great fresh sandwiches and croissants, excellent coffee and very low prices. Was staying at Catalonia Eixample 18something across the street and went here everyday for breakfast. The couple(?) that runs it is also very friendly.

Lovely neighbourhood cafe, great croissants and coffee. Friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. Definitely recommend! Staff charmed by non fluent Spanish from teenager practising.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
